The Kardashians; The Bachelor; The Bachellorette; Kendra; etc ...
How real are these shows? There are so many of these reality shows and I often wonder how true to reality they actually are. A lot if it sometimes apprear to be fake, but you are never quite sure. Just to take the Kardashians as an example: you read in magazines of the sisters fight in true life and that Kim hates it that Chloe and Courtney gets more attention than she does, but then you see them in the show laughing it off and acting as if everything is fine. Does the show honestly portray their true feelings? Can you act naturally when you have a camera in your face the whole day long? Are there things that are not shown on TV? What about all the other shows? Where does reality stop and acting start?

I dont think they are as real as the tooth fairy; Santa; the Loch Ness monster or the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I've never seen (or even heard of) the shows you mention but I think reality shows in general are mostly cheap-to-make tacky voyeurism and the term 'reality' is something of a misnomen.
