Do you Speed on the highway?

While on the highway, I try not to speed over the limit, and I would do my best to stay within the speed limit. I just couldn't afford another ticket to the state government again. That is my best can do.

I used to speed, but now I usually travel at the speed limit or just under. If the speed limit is 70, I do 65. That way I can stay in the slow lane, everyone passes me, and the trip is less stressful.

I speed, definitely. I usually go 10-15 over on the highway. Our fastest highway that I'm usually on is a 65, and so easily my car will hit 80-85 - but I'm honestly just trying to keep up with traffic! (LOL, Well, that would be what I tell the officer..) I'm not too concerned with getting pulled over; I have a pretty clean record and a ticket would suck, but I've been "speeding" on highways since.. I started driving about 2 years ago, ticket-free. But of course, timing is impeccable. If you're driving at a time during rush hour, obviously you can't speed just due to how slow everyone else is going, and of course at 3am, when no one is on the road - you obviously don't want to speed. Any other time though..And I'm set. I have a pretty crappy car, too, so it's surprising that it can hit 90. I've never taken it past that, though, because the steering wheel starts shaking crazily, like my car is going to fall apart if I go any faster. . I agree with you, too. I think most police officers wont' pull someone over unless they're going 6-7 miles over the speed limit. So 5 seems to be OK.

Hey!! I also do the same, and I also feel the police won't do anything. In the UK (don't know where you are from) we can do 70 on the motorway, but i go up to about 90, like most people, but some idiots speed past you at that. in towns I am a more careful tho!!
