Does Anybody Remember Network?

You may not, but you probably remember, "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!" That famous quote is from the movie Network. Network is a fantastic movie. It's so prophetic, it's kind of frightening...if you look at the shows on cable news now, especially Glenn Beck's show, the Howard Beale model came true in ways that I don't think anyone anticipated. Glenn Beck is so much like Howard Beale, I'm ready for him to threaten to shoot himself live on the air! I thought Faye Dunaway was really wonderful in this movie, as was the rest of the cast...and Paddy Chayefsky's screenplay practically predicts the future. It wasn't the most influential film of the twentieth century, but it probably should have been.
