Hi, I am in Central Visayas in Negros Oriental. Southern Negros is not usually a typhoon path but we had rains yesterday. The rains have been steady for many days but it's not torrential unlike in Manila and Northern Luzon.
We had our share of floods too this year but that was it and I hope this time the city and the residents have learned a very valuable lesson. But sometimes we can't argue with mother nature in some instances because the rains up there are really abnormal.
We are glued to the TV on the disaster over in Manila and Luzon and the most we can do is pray for all of us. We have relatives and friends over there too.
I know Filipinos will and can almost always hurdle difficulties. I believe in our resilience in times of crisis.

According to our relatives there in Visayas there are not affected by the typhoon. They only experienced drizzle and strong wind unlike here in Luzon the rains really pours hard. Yesterday the rain was non-stop here and we worried that the flood going to be high but fortunately it subsided after few hours here in our are. We never expected that typhoon Ondoy going to brought so much rain yesterday. Many are affected and there are also casualties. I feel so sad about it and we never thought that it could be like this.
