From my past experience with mylot, some users here seems not answering the discussion questions I posted here. Maybe my questions weren't clear enough, or maybe people simply don't have good answer to answer them at the moment. I felt like after I read their responses to my discussion, I couldn't be able to comment on their responses. I just don't know what to say. From reading their responses, I felt like we were talking on total different topics. Don't you feel it sometimes too?

I don't answer discussions if I don't understand what the question is or if I don't have the answers. I conscientiously make sure that I have answered all of the questions. Sometimes, I indirectly answer the questions but this is only on occasions. I try to be direct and straightforwards in answering questions. If this were to happen to me, I would just clarify from the one who posted an answer if they think, they have the right question or to elaborate on their answers. Fortunately, I started very few discussions and they were also just simple questions.

I totally understand what you said here. Yeah, for me too, if I don't understand that particular question, I might just leave it alone, or found something else to post. Otherwise, I just won't ruin someone else' discussions, and post those non - senses.

Glad you understood what I meant. Sometimes, I re-read my answers just to see if it makes sense.

what is important here is, if the user doesn't interest on that topic, he/she can simply leave the forum, and he/she doesn't have to reply any of those discussions. He/she couldn't pick the specific ones that interest them the most instead of post those non - sense.

I have never found this issues up to now, i surely believe that this issues shoulb exist in mylot, the most parts of this conditions i think maybe they don't clearly understand what's your meaning, but we can't exclude the possibility that someone just want to gain more post numbers for money, they don't see the topics at all,,,
so you can decide if you need to give these guys a "_" according to actual situation...

I don't know, I understand some users might just want to increase their numbers of posting, and trying to increase their earnings here. It is totally understandable, and I won't blame them for doing it. Because we all trying to make some extra money here. Nothing wrong with it. I won't probably give them minus rating, and I simply ignore those non - sense response, that is all.

Hi Clorissa, it's not just in mylot, we face this problem everyday.
Sometimes I'm talking with my friends, before I can finish my sentence, someone makes an abrupt change in direction. I can't blame anyone since I am frequently at fault too.
It's just the way our brains function. Our brains can link and think so fast. It's like someone asks you to comment on the show last night, then you suddenly remember that you have to buy tomatoes since you used all the tomatoes last night. So you come out with "let me write down tomato in my shopping list first."
I believe that is the same with mylotters, somehow our discussions trigger their memories and they feel they have to say something.

That might happen, I totally understand that situation, and hopefully, we just trying to focus on something that is related to the topic, and not off the topic. We are in attempt to create a discussions that would find the perfect answer, not garbage.

Hello,
I think if you are more specific, of what kind of answer you are looking for. It was sometime ago when I have read someone disscussion, and they had included if your answer do not relate to my question, please do not respond, maybe try this in your future disscussions and see how that works.

I just don't know what to say back to them, and they are just totally off it. I won't be able to reply them because I simply don't understand what they are really saying there. Hopefully, that won't happen a lot.

It happens-miscommunication is quite common. I am guilty of that at times. But then, conversation in real life goes on like that a lot of times too. It isn't that people don't understand, they just have an example to view another side maybe or to share an example? But then, yes, sometimes questions are not worded to gain the correct response.

I hate those kind of responses. It kind of makes me want to go, "are you high while you're myLotting or don't you speak English well?" I don't understand why people post responses that are not at all related. You're just going to get rated negatively for that.

Hello clorissa, well yes many times i do feel the same thing, infact today itself i had few responses which takes off my mind, it clearly notifies that the writer has not even read a single line from my topic and it sucks so much badly.

yes, that's why i always start a discussion that is simple to understand and fun to respond. don't post any discussion that is too hard to understand because there are many people around who don't understand good english and are here to learn it. so try to be gentle with them and enjoy my lotting :)

Hi clorissa, haha yah sometimes I do encounter comments like that. It's not usually because they didn't have anything to say to your discussion, sometimes they just have so much ideas in their heads that they totally forget to give an exact answer to your question. And sometimes, I think you're right, they just don't have any good answer to post but still wants to participate on your disussion cause they could relate to it. But think any comment is good as long as its not offensive cause it only shows that they find your discussion quite interesting and worth giving time to. =)

Yes i know what you mean. Maybe they just want to post something so they can increase their earning, but they really are not understand how to solve your problem. So then that answer it with post that totally different from the topic. But it could be that they are not really good in english and not get the point of your question. Well that's what i think anyway

Yeah your right there are some people who will just respond to a particular topic just for the sake of participating.I am new in mylot but whenever i found topics which are interesting i will really respond to it.We don not know that our responses to a particular discussion will be very valuable to others.I am new here in mylot but i found mylot a very interesting site to which it enables me to express myself to public.

In suppose not all people are on the same wavelength as you. They feel they have to say something whether it answers your question or not and carry on any way. I suppose we have to be good listners or good readers in this case, and read whatever they have to comment on.
