Did anyone watch it? The style was definitely different with the whole flash-back thing, but a wonderful episode nonetheless. Kill Ari was my favorite season opener until last Tuesday's episode. I just know season 7 will be a good one! Any thoughts on NCIS this season?

I think this was the best season opener NCIS has ever had. I'll even go so far as to say it is my favorite episode of all time. I love Michael Weatherly so this whole show revolving around him made me very happy. I loved the humor, the twists and turns and the action. I loved the fact that it seemed as though the group was coming back together. I didn't really enjoy all of Season 6 because it seemed the writers were determined to make Tony look stupid, McGee look mean, Gibbs being more distant than usual and Ziva being B****y. The only characters that seemed to stay true to themselves were Ducky, Palmer and Abby. The writers need to realize that most NCIS fans tune in, not because of the cases although they are fun to try to figure out, but because of the relationships between the main characters. I was really excited when I saw this first episode - especially the Tony/McGee friendship. I am tired of all the Mcwhatever jokes. It was cute at first but now it is just plain irritating and I think that Tony is better than that. I personally loved it when he called him Timmy or Tim. I liked that they were eating together and discussing the events of the past summer. They acted more like friends/brothers than in any other episode since Probie. I was also happy to see Gibbs and Tony's relationship back on track. When Vance talks about Tony to Gibbs he usually refers to him as "your boy." I have always felt that Tony is like a son to Gibbs, just as Abby is like a daughter to him. Abby is clearly the favorite but there is still a very close relationship between Tony and Gibbs. This was more prevalent in this episode too. I was disappointed in the next episode when Tony once again started the Mcwhatever jokes. Please Shane stop that! I have just watched the third episode and I see the show reverting back to making Tony the goofball. When will the writers realize that while we love the antics of Tony, we also like to see him act his age or be serious. Michael does both so well. Gibbs is acting more distant again as the shows go on and I'm just waiting for McGee to go all mean again. I don't want that to happen but I'm afraid it's coming. Like Season 6, the season starts out with a bang and gives me high hopes that I will see a "family" back at NCIS. However, I am so afraid that, as with Season 6, Season 7 will start going downhill. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the writers got their heads on straight and the rest of the season will be as good as the first and second episode. The episode tonight fell flat for some reason. I know that even the best of shows have a bad episode every year or so. That is what I am hoping happened here. I will still continue to watch NCIS no matter what because I love the actors and actresses on this show but I hope that I will be cheering most of the time (such as after the first 2 episodes) instead of ranting at the television like I did tonight. Yawn.

The season opener was good but I could have used a little less Tony talking and more Ziva. It did give a good introduction to what NCIS is all about to any new people watching it.

I watched it too. I liked it, especially that Tony told the truth about everything and then there at the end, said he was going to go all True Lies (the Arnold Swarzenegger movie) on him and the guy said, "how can you kill me when you are still tied up?" and Tony said he didn't say HE was going to kill him and then Gibbs shot him. That was so COOL!! I mean, not that I condone violence because I don't but it was, ahem, appropriate violence in the NCIS episode! I can't wait to see the rest of the season.

it was a pretty great episode and i am glad that they rescued ziva, as far as female characters go she is one of my favorites, up there with sarah connor, alice or resident evil and of course abby.

The season opener was fantastic I like it very much. The 7 season should be great I can not wait until next Tuesday's episode. I like Abbey the best she is very smart and you never know what she is going to say next. I not sure what this season will bring but I am sure it will not be boring.
