Writing an e-book

I'm planning on producing an e-book related to my experiences late last year and early this year with prostate problems (not cancer, thank goodness).
Does anyone have any good suggestions as to what might be a good site to look at for e-publishing, one that doesn't cost and arm and a leg to get started on?
I've written more about what I'm thinking of doing with this e-book on one of my blogs, if that helps you suggest something suitable.

I recommend lulu.com as they offer the chance to sell the work, offer marketing tips and can even give it away.
