If you are doctor and earn 2,ooo dollars, will you accept to become businessman or woman if you earn 5,000 dollars?
You like and love so much your profession and never change just for money?
In all kind of work exist a motivation, i mean money, ...are money so much important to want to change your profession just to earn much more?
if you dream all life to be teacher, but teachers earn not to much money, will you be agree to be in the future translator if you have oportunity just to earn more?
Now you have profession for what you were dreaming, or just change your profession and make something else?

Hi, Icesmile!
Teachers could make a great deal more at almost anything, but we stay in the classroom, doing what we love. We also stay broke most of the time.

I respect the profession of being a teacher and all that. Besides it, we need to keep on making money. Without the income, we can't keep our dream and hope moving forward. So, sometimes, we have to face reality. Be realistic is part of our lives.

I truly believe it's more important to love what I do than to be rich. In the present economy, we teachers are outright poor, but that's just the way it is. We economize as well as we can.

Try making money online. Successful online money makers such as the ones that are involved in affiliate marketing are earning more money than doctors.

Money not makes everything even if you can buy whatever you want with money. In a Job or profession, the job satisfaction is more important than the remuneration.
So in my case, I will not give much importance to money. There are many ways to earn money, but for the sake of making money we dont want to accept those methods.
Because of our attachment to the profession only we are chosing the subject while we are studying. So it is better to concentrate on the profession.

This only valid for people who won't need to worry about their daily life with food, rents, and bills. For me, I have to worry all those stuff, and I have to keep up with them. Besides paying bills, I still have to save money for the sake of future too. I can't just make money without saving some of them. I just couldn't do it.

I am not interested in changing my profession just for money. Now, if someone offered me a job I really really loved, and a major raise in pay, then I would take it, but if I was only asked to change for money, I would not be interested in changing my profession.

Sometimes, it is hard to stay in one career that you do not like. But there are many things that could motivate you to doing it. I remember in one tv show wherein on actor was about to decline a role because he didn't like it. He asked the director, what is my motivation? The director answered, your paycheck. Need I say more!

I agree with you. The big fat paycheck will be the one huge motivation for your life. It will be done the same for me too. I need it to keep me going, and keep me survive. I need that paycheck to help me through many difficult lifetime, and hardtime. We still need to keep on going.

Hi. I think everyone has a dream job to work as, and if given a chance, all of us want to work it that dream job. But we all have to change that mindset if we need more money because of our families. If the 5000 dollars is enough to provide for my family and live life a little more lavishly, i think i would change.

really saying in now days the money plays an important role and if you are getting more money for some other profession than in my accordance we should go to that side because you are not harming any one by this change and even you are progressing so i don't see any harm in changing my job or profession.

for the example, i would say NO.
if i really-really enjoy my profession and love it, there are so many things beyond that money that i'm willing to achieve, so i won't leave it. money is important, but we also need to find a suitable work for us, one that we really feel enjoy about it, specially if it could give us enough money to fulfill our needs.
unless it is necessary, because our family needs an urgent more money..then we should consider it too though. but i suggest, if we wanna jump into another profession and leave our current one now, it's better be good and still in our skill area.
i have so many on my wishlist, and to achieve that i do need a better job with a better salary but still in my skills area, profession that i will really enjoy it..if it's necessary, i will change my job to a better one..we all need an improvement in our life..nothing stay the same, one thing that will never change is the change itself..

I will not accept to change my personality though to earn much more money but I can definitely change my job for a better one to earn much more than the current job and as I am still a student I will look forward for a job which pays much more than the current one.

This is a inevitable problem for the person who is living in a poor condition.Maybe your job is integrate with your major, but the salary in this field is undesirable. For exist in the world, you need to change you profession which may disobey your interest. However, you can have a high live standard if you change your profession.so,to some extent,I support this point.

Hello,
I have to say, I have to be comfortable for with what I'm doing, I have had good jobs in the past, but I was not comfortable with them after a while, just to really discover I really did not like what i was doing, so what I have done was took some of those skills, and placed them all in my small business, now I can say for a change I'm finally doing what I always wanted to do and that was to have my own business, of course I get paid on commissions, because I only get paid when someone purchase my products, instead recieving having a base pay that I'm paid weekly or bi weekly, but I still wil not change it to go back to a job setting.

hi, it all depends upon how I feel when I am performing my current career. I feel a career must satisfy one if it fulfills the following criteria. First, it should provide above average money to run the family. Second, even though if it gives more money, we cannot continue doing things which we do not like all of our lifetime. So we should feel proud doing that. Third, social status is the one which every one expects from their career. So, I would not just change my career just because of money.

Regardless of money, I believe there's nothing wrong with changing profession. Just as long you have the capability of handling a certain profession or responsibility, then why not?
In terms of salary, well if it's really needed to change something, move on then!

No. I wouldn't. Neither writers nor community organizers make a lot of money. However, those are the only two things in the world I want to do. I'll take crappy pay for a happy soul (that I would never sell on eBay unlike some people who think it's a decent thing to do). Everyone makes trade-offs, but for me, my happiness is not a commodity. You cam make all the money in the world, but if you're miserable what's the point?

It would depend on my circumstances. If I had a big family to support and we needed money for certain things then yes I can imagine changing my profession in order to be able to provide for my family's wishes. But if we living a happy and comfortable life anyway, I would prefer to stay in a job that makes me really happy even if it did pay a little less. Because I do think that job satisfaction is the most important thing at work.

It won't immoral to say "yes, I will change my profession simply for the reason of I need to earn more money." I won't mind to change my profession in the future, honest speaking. I won't also just want to stick on the profession I want and always wanted. I have face many financial difficulty in the past, and my situation would be different. I am not purely only pursuing my dream. I also pursuing the best opportunity in the market, and in hope to earn more and more dough to keep me survive. That is my ultimate goal. So, ultimately, I would say "yes", I still havet change my profession, if there is a earning potential out there in other market.

Not that simple for me in fact, I have to see and calculate if that would make my future brighter or not. It means after changing my profession, I would be happier, healthier, and richer :) Indeed increasing of my income would be a big motivation for me, but still I will look at the grand design, not only part of it. I give salute to them that can stand still on they profession although the delicious money cake is promising and tempting. But there's another way to make thing perfectly progress, for example I like to teach, but I have to get the higher income for my back up, so I compromise it by changing my profession as teacher, but still open the small course to teach people at my spare time. That may be exhausting a bit, but you can adjust the schedule as efficient as possible. Besides you won't feel too exhausted if you are happy to do that. One thing is, don't sacrifice your health no matter for the sake of money or hobby. Be wise that is :)

Passion comes first. But the best thing is to choose the most lucrative of the options that lets one follow the dreams.. lol. Anyway if one doesn't like what he/she is not doing, and something in the mind tells them constantly that this is not what i want to do, it is pointless to take up a profession that gives you more money. May be one needs to live with the lesser amount of money that comes with their dream job.

I think that the money would influence my decision a lot. We have a tough economy at the moment. I do also know, that if one job I could absolutely not do, but it paid amazingly I would have to choose the one I would enjoy more.
Happy mylotting!
