Material for E-Reader

Seriously considering buying a Sony E-Reader or similar in near future, adn whilst I know of plenty of stores that sell books, I have heard that newspapers and magazines can also be downloaded for reading on them. The trouble is I have only found one site so far, which seems to be mostly focused on US newspapers, which is fine as far as it goes but also looking for UK newspapers and magazines.
Anyone have any ideas of good sites? I am not necessaryily looking for free sites and would pay for comprehensive ones?

Is the E-reader like the kindle(?) from Amazon? I Think that you may have more luck with the Kindle. It has been around longer and from what I have heard you can get almost anything on it. I have been debating but I don't know if I can give up turning the page.
