In my country, Spring is starting. I live in Chile, South America. In my country there are all kinds of climates as it´s a long and thin country. We have the Andes on one side and the Pacific Ocean on the other. The country is safe enough even for youngsters to come with backpacks and tents.
All of South America is starting spring. There are beaches, forests, desert, mountains. You name it, we have it.
I´m inviting you. Would you like to come and visit us? Where would you go?

Wow! South America, I would like to come over to. The Andes, Santiago and Easter Island, there are too many places there that I would like to go.
The city I now live is in the north-east China. Maybe I should dig a hole through the Earth, Chile is just at the end of another. :-)
In my city, at that moment, it's starting autumn, pleasant climate. I like spring and autumn.
I would really wish someday I can travel in Chile.

If I had the option of escaping the wintertime chills, I'd take it up in a heartbeat. I think I'd go to the areas where it's warmer. I could definitely use that time to my advantage, learning about areas away from home, first hand.

I'd love to go to Chile, but I'd rather do it during your winter and our summer, since we get so HOT here in Texas - 68 days of 100º F days this year. I'd rather be cold than hot, I would rather come in your winter and our summer - to escape our hot, HOT summers in Texas.

I also live in this part of India where we get to experience all seasons...I like all seasons except summer!!it is the worst here and to top it is humidity...I love winer as it never goes down below 8deg. It is comfortable too. In winter when we feel cold, we put on warm clothes, but in summer we have no option like that, do we??? Given a chance I would like to visit chile in our summer that is during april to june.

I love your country! Chile, Chile lindo! I have already been there a few times and hope to go again some time soon! I know Spring is starting soon, as I come from the country next door to yours: Peru! Unfortunately I am living in Europe now, where the winter is soon to start when I would rather be sitting by the Pacific, watching those beautiful sunsets!

Hello! I am glad you commented! Machu Picchu is sure worth a visit, so I hope your dream comes true! You are the second person that has to do with Chile that I have met recently. The other person is called Sara and I met her through Ebay, as I wrote to her in Spanish when I saw her name, she answered and we are now friends! I now live in Austria, while Sara lives in Germany, always missing her Chile Lindo, of course!

Of course you would! Just stop fearing planes. They are much better than cars. I´m sure more people die from car accidents than from plane crashes.
We´g have a wonderful time!!!

Well since you are in the Southern Hemisphere spring must really be nippy over there. So, what kinds of clothing do you wear when spring comes? If the invite is on and we have the time, I would make it. As usual, there is the budget to consider and to look for someone to house-keep for us when we are away.

I´m wearing jeans now and nikes as sahoes. As it´s not so warm yet, I wear a sweater. At this time of the year, _I prefer to put on several layers of clothes, as on onion.. That way, I put them on or take them off whenver needed. My granddaughter (19) is using very light clothes.

I have been several times to Buenos Aires and went once to Bariloche. In fact I had my honeymoon in Buenos Aires, many decades ago. From what part of Argentina are you? I love your music, from tangos to those wonderful songs I know by heart from Los Chalchaleros and Eduardo Falú.
¡Un brindis por nuestros países!

I never tire of going to Buenos Aires. I think it´s one of the most interesting cities in South America, with all the splendour of mansions and beautiful buldings and neighborhoods. Just the cafés where you can read a paper with noone bothering you, the bookstores, the many plays, opera, ballets... It´s wonderful.
Where are you living in Mexico now? Mexico is another country I love.

I'm from the City of La Plata, Capital of the province of Buenos Aires, 54 km. from Capital Federal (DF). Now that I'm far from the city appreciate many things that still living there did not appreciate. In fact I was 6 months ago vacations and saw every corner of my town with a love thar never imagine having. I love my country, I love my city. I will talk more about it, I hope not to bore... Have nice day, and all also have a good day.

I'd like to visit Chile someday. Actually I know this portuguese girl that lives in Santiago and she's told me certain things about your country. I just don't get why the title of your thread has nothing to do with the content of the same?

Hi my friend. Winter in my home country lasts from December until February and at the moment it is autumn. That lasts from September until November. In January of this year, when it was winter, I did manage to escape over to South Africa. I took my toddler son to Cape Town and the Garden Route.
I would love to come over to South America. There are so many places there that I would like to visit. Most of all I adore thinking about the possibility of visiting Machu Picchu in Peru. Then I would travel down to Chile to see Santiago and the lake district. I would pop over to the border of Argentina and Brazil to see the waterfall. Then I would carry on traveling across Brazil until I reach Rio De Janeiro. On another trip I would love to visit Cartagena de Indies, San Andres and Providence Island in Colombia.
I would really like to meet you if I come over to Chile.

You will, friend, when you come. I have a place in my house and in my heart for you. The Cataratas de Iguazú are awesome. They are in the frontier of three countries, in the Paraná river. Rio de Janeiro is awesome too. I visited ir a long time ago.
I do want to go to Machu Picchu, but I wouldn´t like to go alone.
I´m sending you a picture of myself at the Iguazú waterfalls.Hug

Thanks for the invitation!! Your country must be very beautiful. But I don't have the money to travel so much. I also live in a beautiful country called India. We have all kinds of weathers in different parts of the country. I have travelled over my country since my childhood because my father was an officer in the Indian Army. I got to see a lot of my country that way. But I would surely love to travel the world and see other countries if I have all that much money.

que hay de nuevo senora!
i would love to spend my vacation by the second quarter of 2010 either in santiago or buenos aires. i live in saudi arabia and i usually had a 45 days vacation every year. last 2007 is my last visit to latin countries en americas and i am so much yearning to see and hear latino people again. i think there is no big difference between the middle easterners and latinos when it comes to physical structures. i used to work with a colleague who came from mexico for more than 5 years now and i am learning a little bit spanish from him. i really love spanish and i want to interract more fluently and eloquently espanol when i got there. we both took our higher level english class in our company so we both mediate and explain everything through our conversation.

Yes, I live in Shanghai China. We have obviously four seasons during the year. Anyway, how to judge these 4 seasons. I think every season has goodsides and badsides. In summer, here, the highest temperature could be more than 40 degree, however in Summer, we can swimming and eat ice cream. And In winter, the lowerest temperature could be less than -5 degree, really cold, sometimes the idea of escaping winter will come to my mind, However, the feeling of sleeping in the warm bed in cold winter are so nice!
