we eat to live or we live to eat ?

I have been having problems with this topic as to whether we eat to eat or we live to eat ?. I had a serious argument with some companions yesterday concerning this topic. Mine view was, we eat to live but still, didn't arrive at any tangible conclusion because each side was having points to defend. I want to know your own side as whether it is we eat to live or we live to eat.

We eat to live as our bodies CANNOT physically survive without some food and water. Without it all our major organs fail so we die! Some people take eating to the extreme tho and live to eat! Then they end up killing themselves from eating too much as fat stores in the body then has nowhere else to go and clogs up all major arteries.
There are ups and downs you need to find the right balance. But no we definatly eat to live! Good question! Happy myLotting!!!
