How do You Advertise?

I have many affiliate programs, paid to sites, and websites. Some I try to find referrals for some I just do what I need to do and leave it at that. With some I post ads on the free posting sites and some I do link exchanges. But with my favorite sites and most lucritive sites I post flyers around town. How do you advertise? Do you buy leads? I tried that a few times, but I didn't know what the heck I was doing so it didn't work. If you could get free leads would it benefit you? How could it benefit you? I'm willing to try leads again, since I feel more confident about my abilities online. And today I found a site I think will be good for helping me get back in the swing of things with using leads. I need some feedback either way. So, if you are experienced in this in some way, let me know if you think this site is truly beneficial. Thank you in advance.
