Why or why not?
I've been a vegetarian for years now. Although I STRONGLY believe in animal welfare, that is not why I decided to become a vegetarian. I simply don't find meat very appealing.
There are many reasons that people become vegetarians, such as ethical, health, environmental, religious, political, cultural, aesthetic, economical, or other reasons.

I eat meat and vegetables, and vegetables contain health factors. Meat is the same, we should be appropriate to eat some meat, meat, rich in vitamin B1. To add to the body after the consumption of pork shortage of vitamin B1, can make physical strength.
The sake of our health, our diet should be reasonable.

Yes and no?!?....I was Veggy for almost 10 years, but the lack of protien was effecting me so I started eating organic free range turkey and chicken. I'd eat fish, but don't any other than tuna.....Vegan is great, but you can't eat out anywhere (you really need to cook your own food) My friends started a rest with only raw foods and its great. So tech i'm not anymore but haven't had red meat in like 15 + yrs...Many of my friends were Vegan but they cheat once in a while...personally I don't know if I could never have ice cream again, lol

We tried the vegetarian thing a few years back, and gave up on it as there was something missing, like meat!!! We struggled to tantalize our taste buds to. In the end we decided that we would just down on red meat, and eat some poultry and some fish to, and increase the amount of fruit and vegetables. It worked for us. Are you still eating meat. I had a vegetarian sausage the other night, and I have to say I would much rather have real meat. That sausage reminded me exactly why we decided we couldnt cut meat out altogether.
If being a vegetarian, I'd rather chose to be a Fruitarian instead...

If you dont like them, dont eat them. Its that easy. Instead of eating vegetables, eat heaps more fruits. It says we need to eat a certain amount of fruit or veg everyday, and if I were in your shoes, I would eat a piece of fruit after every meal, and make starters and desserts with fruit the main ingredient. Doing that will keep you nice and healthy, I promise.
You can get lists of what vitamins and minerals each fruit contains, and better still, if you do that you wont need to take any supplements. Why make your self spew up eating something that you dont like, when you can get the exact same benefits eating fruit s that you do like.
I'd prefer to be a Fruitarian instead...

I am a totally Non-vegetarian. I just can't avoid eating meat and poultry. I dont eat pork as it is against our religion. But I do eat goats meat and chicken. I just love the meat products which are only made in my country.
However I also support the animal welfare. But there is no going against it if we eat animals which are not extinct.
I strongly hate it when people kill animals which are extinct like the tortoise, deers, and many others.

I love vegetables but I love meat too especially seafood. Seafood is best because you get the protein but not the bad fat. I don't eat beef that much or chicken too. I just like seafood. If I were to be a vegetarian, I would miss the prawns and the squids and the fish that taste so good. If you're a vegetarian your diet will be lacking in protein which is necessary for growth. Your body needs protein and you can't get that from vegetables alone.

I'm a "conscious omnivore." I do eat meat, but I eat less of it than most people. In a more "natural" environment (i.e. hunting and gathering), humans usually eat a small percentage of meat for protein and the bulk of their diet comes from plant sources. That is what our bodies are evolutionarily adapted to. So we keep our servings of meat small in my household, and we try to have a vegetarian meal at least once a week if not more often.
I also believe that the way meat is mass-produced for supermarkets is not healthy for the animals or for the environment. I can't afford to buy the meat that's raised more ethically/sustainably, so I figure the next best option is to buy less of what I can afford. When I can afford to, I do try to buy organic and local products.
I guess the bottom line of being a "conscious omnivore" is that I think about what I eat, what's in it, and where it's coming from, and I do what I can to eat a diet that's healthier for me and for the planet.

No, I'm not a vegetarian because I do like meat, and poultry, and fish. I especially love seafood. Eating a healthy diet isn't something that I put a lot of effort into but I usually manage to do okay. I'm sure vegetarians have to put in more of an effort.
