Hello My-lotters,
How are you goins doing? It seems that the rain stop momentarily as i see the Sun-shine this Morning. So, as promised i went back to that small abandon lot with lost of trees and big weeds,as i said in the previous topic, the kitten went there, and didn't show up as i approach her...guess what, i didn't see her there no more, i hope she's alright, probably wonder around from another house and got stuck in the bushes.
Well, I was about to go back when I heard another Dam Meow some where. and then i saw cat, the black one with dark spots. but just as i am about to leave, i heard another Meow, and then i checked the plastic and i saw the Yellow male kitten.i took them both because i got a bad feeling it's gonna rain gain..
What Happened? they too were thrown off, probably a few days. Are you kidding me? they were there in the paper bag the whole time this Typhoon Ondoy was raging through out the entire time? and worse, my brother's maid went to our house to today and i showed her the other two cats. but then she gave me another information..
Seems like i missed something when I was going home from my brothers house, she told me that they were four other kittens smaller than the ones i found, they were four of them and one got squashed by a car.. it's raining now, i can't believe this is happening..What's with people Now a days throwing kittens in the middle of the STORM~!
I have been trying to call the P.A.W.S. here in my country but the line is too damn busy..so, i decided to write a letter online to their website..i hope i get a good response in this..they're cute but i can't keep them all..i can get a few but I can't save them all, most specially if am the only one in the family that likes cats.

hello LordOzz,
Well, it seems that you can really relate to my mom, who also hates cats but i do agree that they can be stinky most specially with regards to their poop. well, i like cats and there's no way that i can ignore them most specially if they're kittens, because they're life forms with feelings just like us

Yeah, in the city of Manila, Philippines in Southeast Asia, they throw kittens in the river if they want to get rid of them. But somehow, they always find a way to get back home, such sturdy creatures! I guess the reason why Filipinos are fed up with them is that they multiply very rapidly, and make very loud noises on the roof when they romp at night (when they become cats, that is). There's even some rumor going around these kittens make such excellent meat for the Chinese siopao, sold hot in most Chinese restaurants or fast foods in the outskirts of Manila. I don't know how true that rumor is, but that's the reason I'm scared of ordering siopao when I'm in Manila.

richiemogwai,
Where did you get that information about cats being turned into a siopao meat? if i remember correctly, this doing is only done in china and not here. but i agree with the cats being so noisy at night since they're always fighting on the roof. it's better if you order siopao in a fast food chain and not in a regular shop. i don't believe the idea cats being a siopao meet but having the siopao hang in there stalls for a while no one buys until something like a few days later is something disturbing.

Unfortunately here in the Philippines, if you find a kitten, then its yours. One reason why neutering and spaying isn't that popular here in the Philippines is because it is expensive. People won't spend on a feral cat. So when their cats have kitties, they just throw them out.
People don't realize that this traumatizes the mama cat and before long she will be pregnant again. I have seen that with my cat Spot. She lost kittens twice and not more than one month has passed, she was pregnant again. She lost her kittens again when she gave birth last July but one survived, Tornado. He is now more than three months old and Spot is still nursing him, a sure sign that she is not pregnant.
You can call PAWS and ask them about their spaying and neutering services. They say that their rates are lower than those of a vet. One reason why they don't accept kittens brought to them is because they claim that their shelter is already overcrowded, but they may offer you a deal with the spaying and neutering.

Hello anne,
Oh, i see. well, for now I will find them a new home, they are still with me, you know that yellow is a male and had one of his legs or paws hurt or something that he can't walk properly. well, cutie is still young, i doubt i will neutered her any time soon, probably after a few years. well, paws is probably one organization and those cats are every where.

Hi LetranKnight. There is no need for anyone to do this to poor innocent kittens (or any other animals for that matter). With one simple step (spaying or neutering), they can prevent unwanted litters from being born in the first place.
It really doesn't make any sense why some people don't do this for their pets, especially when it can avoid so much heartache in the long run. And it isn't any wonder that animal shelters are so full and most have to kill any animals that aren't adopted out after a short amount of time. The whole thing is really sad as well as pathetic when you think about it.
So people, don't throw away unwanted litters and don't send them to the pound. Get your pet spayed or neutered instead!
Happy mylotting!

Hello Scamom,
I believe that method (spaying or neutering) isn't much popular here in the Philippines, i dunno probably the'yre not aware. it happens all the time when there cats give birth, and they feel that's not neccesary to keep those additional ones, they just threw it away in a sack or paper bag. thanks for the advice anyways, Have a great day..

I don't know how anyone can just throw kittens away like that. They may only be animals in these peoples eyes, but they are still alive like you and me.

It's so heartbreaking to think that people think animals are disposable like so much garbage--these are live animals with feelings every bit as much as we humans have. Unfortunately, if your country is anything like ours, shelters are so overcrowded that they are overflowing with pets, and eventually, since there are so many, most wind up euthanized, but a hearty kudos to you that you are at least trying to help these poor defenseless kittens. More and more people need to spay/neuter their pets so more and more unwanted litters are created.

hello pyewacket,
If only my mom likes cats, i won't have problems taking good care of them since I only found two, regarding the other three somewhere, i hope some one has a her to take them because seriously having three is already like having 10 cats for me. they are defenseless and not aware like the big ones..

What a shame that someone disposed of these poor kittens like that! As a cat lover I find it hard to imagine why anyone wouldn't like cats! The problem with shelters is that they can only keep the animals for so long and then they have to put them to sleep because they have no room for anymore, although kittens stand a much better chance of getting re-homed compared to older cats. It’s great that you are helping them out; I hope you get some response from the shelter and that they can take the kittens and find them good homes.

You may have to find them a home yourself unfortunately. It may not be too hard because they are beautiful kittens. Do you have pet shops in your area that may take them? My sister took a litter of kittens to a local pet shop and each one was purchased and went to a good home. Good luck LetranKnight, let us know how you go.

Hello Paula,
I feel pity for these beautiful creatures. probably they just can't control their cat or doesn't the (spaying or neutering) thing. but what more discouraging is about what hornetlover told me about the Animal Welfare, it's not fare, even the Center that takes care of cats are rejected..If i get refused then that's it, either i find them a new home or simply send to some one i know.
