I'm Canadian. And I'm really glad that I'm Canadian, or a Cannuck as we're referred to sometimes by people. To be honest, I really don't see myself living anywhere else. Yes, we have our share of problems and disagreements, but it's still a really beautiful country in my opinion.

I'm not a Canadian citizen myself, but I have a great deal of ancestry from Canada. Most of my ancestors came from various places in Northern Europe and immigrated to Canada before going to the US. For some reason this seems to upset my dad ("I can't believe we come from a bunch of d**n Canucks!"), but I take it as a point of pride. I grew up in Michigan, which is often said to be unofficially part of Canada. In fact, when I moved to Colorado, a lot of people I met asked me if I was Canadian because of my Michigan accent.
