Hi smsky
hmm i have been transcending from one genre to another... earlier i was a pop head, them extreme metal head \m/ and now i have cooled down to rock/blues/jazz . . . metal head i was when i wanted to learn drums and now i play it cool, still i play metal at times...
my current playlist:
1. Porcupine tree : great songs; deep meanings; Gavin Harrison currently the best progressive drummer!
2. U2 : great band; great songs; great great!
3. keeps on changing sometimes coldplay sometimes MJ sometimes yeah but i don't much listen to trance kind of music, i listen to more of 'analog music' as a enthusiastic drummer.
have a nice day smsky!

I never knew this, but I am learning alot of peoples taste in music reading from this post. You just dont get the same response from everyone so its very unique to see everyones taste in music these days.

Yea I have been reading all the responses and googling them to see what kind of music these people are listening to because I havnt even heard of some of the music that they mentioned here.. I have found some very good even though they arnt what I am use to listening to, but it was a good experience to listen to other peoples taste in music here. I just like music plain and simple, with out music my driving experience would be sooooo boring.. but sometimes need to control the fast paced club/hip hop music because I always get an adreneline rush and start to speed like crazy!!! _

Hi smsky,
I like rnb,hip hop and soul music. My top three favorite right now are Just Dance by Lady Gaga, Sweet Dreams by Beyonce and Officially Missing You by Tamia. The first two are my current favorite songs while the last one is my all time favorite. I got more favorite songs and I just love listening to different type of music. :)

Lady Gaga is koo, but I saw her perform at the MTV music awards and that kinda freaked me out.. I thought that was blood all over her body or she was on her period. Her music is pretty good, but her fashion is pretty ourtrageous from my point of view. lol

LOL. Yes she is too experimental when it comes to fashion. But undoubtedly her every performance was really an eye catcher. She is on of the best artist of today. Shes original and fun.:)

I love all music but right now my top 3 are:
1. "You Found Me" by The Fray
2. "It's Not True" by William Fitzsimmons
3. "Butterflyz" by Alicia Keys
I've been stuck on these songs for about a month. Next month I'll be on 3 totally different songs.

Will do! I'm going to try some of the music mentioned in some of the other posts too. I'm always in search of new music. The weird thing about Alicia Keys is I didn't like the first couple of her songs that I heard. Then I heard someone playing this song and liked it.

Post back here with your new list next month :) I want to read what your playlist changes too. I'm probably going to be listening to something new because these days alot of new and good music keeps coming out.. I dont really listen to female musicians, but wow alicia key is a great singer and just very talented in my opinion.. just think all her songs are classic, you can just imagine her songs being 10 years old and people will still like her song.

I am now listening frequently to Black Eyed Peas, Rage Against the Machine, and Mozart. I know, weird mix but I can like anything as long as it is appealing.

1. Pearl Jam .. Black
2. Led ZepP-- Stairway to Heaven
3. Crazy Train... Ozzy
Thats really hard to pick my top 3 for I have been influenced by so many that labeling a top 3 probally wouldnt be fair, but for the sake of the discussion I put down the three best song I could possibly think of. On a personal opinion I think Black was the Greatest song sung by the Greatest artist ever in rock.. just my opinion. Now Stairway to heaven has to be one of the greatest of all time intros to a song ever recorded. The guitar is excellent and has grabbed the attention of even todays generation to learn the song on guitar. Crazy Train is another excellent song that I enjoy. Only because the lead guitarist randy rhoades kills on guitar in this song. His solos have inspired millions world wide and frustrated them as well trying to master his techniques on the guitar. anyways if youre a younger crowd then this play list probaly wont help lol.. but give it a listen maybe they will grow on you..

Honestly, in the last week or so I've not been listening to much other than Kill Hannah and AFI but Kill Hannah more because I'm going to see them this weekend and their new album is coming out tomorrow. AFI's new album is coming out tomorrow too but they only had it streaming on MySpace for two days and Kill Hannah's had theirs up on Absolute Punk for a little more than a week. So I've already listened to it about ten times through
