Are there any NaNoWriMo writers out there? I'm very excited for the new season to begin! If you're nt familiar, NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month. It's a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it to all writers! Have you ever wanted to write a book, but always been scared away from the big ominous thought of the time-consuming bulky process of actually writing one? Well this is your chance to shed all of that! During the month of November each year, writers get together to tackle a book. You write 2000 words a day all month, and come out with a 50,000 word novel! It's about 150 pages long! The greatest thing about it is you're not challenged to write a "perfect" piece. The challenge is to get those words on paper, even if it comes out a silly pile of nonsense where characters do crazy things just to keep the plot going!! There's usually a community already formed in your area, I was surprised when I found out how many there were! Total strangers get together at coffee shops around the globe and write write write!!
