When is hard, we say"God help me", when all is good we forgot to say "thank you"

i always thank Him for every blessing that i receive and for every day that i live. on the way to the office on a taxi, i pray the rosary silently. at night, everyone is grouped in the rosary prayers. it is at the silent prayer portion that i ask God for blessings (surely a lot) and thank Him for keeping us all healthy and well, despite the hard times.

Hi icesmile I am also the one who forgets to thank God after coming out of trouble, although at times i do thank but i don't think that is ever enough for God does so much more for us, we need to thank Him for the smallest of things, after all He has done so much for us. . . hope there are more people who respond to this discussion. have a nice day icesmile!

I try to say "thank you God" as much as possible, but there are still people out there who think I'm taking the Lord's name in vain. LOL Come on!! Has God really become a swear word? Why do so many people use it without meaning it, so that when someone like me means it, I'm accused of not meaning it?

Yes, as humans we always tend to forget our Creator when things are going good for us, but no sooner the bad times come, we run to him immediately.That is why he sends us the bad times so that we can remember him.The best way to keep him in our memory is to keep repeating his name constantly under our breath or in the mind so that it becomes a habit. when we constantly take his name we will find that we are repeating it effortlessly.when we are preoccupied with somethng then the name recedes in the background and as soon as our mind is free then the repetition becomes loud and we also hear the name.God has millions of names according to ones religion and you can call him by whatever name that youlike and are comfortable with. Then when you constantly take his name he will respond immediately to you call when you are in distress.It works because it has worked for me several times. One should also make it a habit to thank him at the end of tha day for all the good he has done for you, just when you are about to go to sleep and then you should thank him when you get up in the morning for keeping you alive and ready to face a new day.

Maybe your words alert me that I should always remember to say "Thank you God" when I am lucky or in good situation rather than attributing success to myself only and forgetting others.
