I just wonder if there are some things we do every day that is against our beliefs. basically my decisions are directly affected by my belief system. if i don't believe on one thing i could hardly be persuaded to do it even if other people pressure me to do otherwise. but sometimes i feel that our beliefs can be wrong and so now i am very open to other beliefs but still it is based on a belief that they may be right and i may be wrong and so i am still acting on a belief.
there are some things that are not in accordance in my belief but i still do them like it is not right to lie but i do that too. but no big lies though only small lies.

actually we all do, and that's called having a double standard. it doesnt mean we're hypocrites or liars. it's true for almost everyone,..it's not the correct thing to do,but sometimes we have to do things contrary to what we believe in.

yeah that is true. sometimes people will say we lie if we don't stay true to our beliefs. but sometimes we have to compromise.

Yes, people do. I thought about this the other day. I made up my mind just to do what Jesus preached. Walk in love and have faith. That's all you need in this life anyway.

Hi hotsummer, The idea of right and wrong is largely man made and depends on our current culture and belief system. Many things that are considered wrong in one part of the world is not in another. Things that were not considered wrong one hundred years ago may be considered a terrible crime today. I may consider capital punishment to be wrong but thousands of people agree with it. You may say the gay lifestyle is wrong, I may feel it isn't. You tell a lie rather than cause a big fight between two people, I may say it's wrong and you may feel that you did the right thing. The universe doesn't decide on what is right or wrong, you and I do. I believe that we must have laws, it's obvious that murderers and rapists and such cannot be allowed to roam at will. Clearly though, it is humans who made and still make decisions as to right and wrong and that's why it varies from country to country and even from person to person.William Shakespeare was right when he wrote,"there's nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so". Blessings.

yeah you are absolutely right on this. what is right for one person maybe totally the opposite for another. that is why there are conflicts on this world. and laws are considered acceptable in one country but not acceptable in other countries. and so there is no universal law. but i guess we just have to go to balance things out. we can't go extreme.

This is very true, I am so grateful that there will be a day when we will continually live in harmony. Even as we speak we carry in our heart and yearn the true Law. But this not make us Judgers of others.
