We used to have love birds at home when I was a kid. Later, my parents used to have a parrot. It is nice to watch birds moving in the cage and it is real fun feeding them. My friend used to have a parrot which talks. Do you know that we can train parrots to talk? Have you ever kept birds at home? Do you like to keep birds as pets at home?

No,i definitely oppose to keep a bird in the cage. The nature sky is its home,so let it go home.I was always very sad even when saw all animals that was closed in a cage or fastened by tether.

I love the sound of birds but no way would I have a bird as a pet. Way too messy. In fact, at this point in my life, if it requires air, water or food I don't want it.

Yes, the birds require some attention on time. I think it is fine if you can spend some time in the morning and in the evening. But, I understand that it is a difficult task cleaning the cage and the place. I would like to have birds, but my apartment won't allow me to keep pets at home, not even a cat or a dog. Thanks for the response.

my late husband bought birds as pets and quail birds for eggs. the quails really were plenty and we got enough supply of eggs for our own consumption. the other birds were there just for pet purposes. lately, however, i felt sad for them, having been "imprisoned" for a long time, with only a small airspace to fly. i have decided to "free" these birds and when my househelper visited his hometown, he brought it with him to release them back to the forest. just hope they still know how to survive in the habitat that they long missed.
