"Where the Wild Things Are" is definitely one of my favorite children's books of all time.
There were a lot of others, some have already been made into movies, while others have not. Ones like "James and the Giant Peach" and "Charlotte's Web" have already been made into movies, while others like "Maniac McGee" and "The Egypt Club" have yet to become movies yet. I personally would love to see "Maniac McGee" made into a movie; it was a great book and could be a good movie if it's done well.

'James...' was really cool. My boys watched it quite a bit during a 1 week period and burned themselves out on it. I think I saw Simon Cowell listed on the credits. I haven't heard of 'Maniac McGee'. I'll look it up, thanks.

I loved "The Chronicles of Narnia", which they did turn into a couple of very good movies. I also liked the book "Are you there God? It's me, Margaret". I read that one in the eighth grade. I don't think they will ever make a movie of it. I liked all of the Nancy Drew books, the Babysitters Club books, and a few others, but right now I can't remember their names. 'Chronicle of Narnia' were great movies. I am a Ray Bradbury fan and loved 'Something Wicked This Way Comes' was a great story, too. I'm surprised they haven't put a more serious effort towards a Nancy Drew/ Hardy boys series of movies.
