What do you miss during your childhood years that you wish you still have or wish that you still experience up to now? We indeed grow old, faster than we often times realize, only to find ourselves longing to go back in time and relive a lot of moments that we find the happiest.
I have a lot of things that I want to have again when I was little that is almost impossible for me to have now. But one of the most things I really miss.. is my daily allowance and my pocket money over the weekends.lol I mean come on, I get that just by being a good girl. But now, I don't think my dad would even bother to give me a cent on a daily basis.lol

Hi, S.Eve! :P
What I miss the most are my school times. Trully, those were my best life times. I was very popular, a member of school association and I organized for two years in a row a week's journey to Spain (our neighbours) that no one will ever forget. Life was easier and happier. Even women seemed more easy to understand.lol. And yes, I do miss those times a lot.

Hi calliban, hahaha so you still haven't figured out how women think huh? lol Don't worry a lot of men don't, so its normal.lol
About the school life, yah I agree it was one of my favorite times too.. Highschool or college life was both memorable to me. And a lot of my friends that I got there are still friends with me until now. Which is really cool. I'm kinda friendly even before, hehe

Hahaha yah, I totally agree how some women doesn't even understand their own kind.lol Pretty weird huh. I guess that's the reason why cat fights are so common lol. Here's a photo which proves how dirty a cat fight could get. That only says you shouldn't be messing with women...lol

The one thing I miss is the early childhood when I thought that there really was a Santa Claus. The excitement and beautiful time of year thinking that there was really such a thing. Almost like a Thomas Kinkade painting in my mind. When I found out there wasn't a Santa I seriously was upset with my parents for lying to me. I think that was the day I grew up and my childhood was gone.

Hi lelin, hahahaha I guess that's the first truth every kid gets to realize about how life could suck sometimes and that in reality there no such thing as fairytales and most especially santa claus.lol And I believe that's the hardest one for parents to tell to their kids too..lol

hahaha I can't believe you too.. well if your mom could have predicted you'll grow up big and not to mention with tattoos, I don't think she'll be messing with you. lol I still couldn't stop laughing just thinking how you look like when you finally saw that the fake signature of santa was identical to your moms.lol

Hi 34momma, haha I guess that explains why a lot of grown ups still watch cartoons.lol Since all of us has a hidden desire on being a kid again. It's funny how we realize every good thing we had when we were young now that we have grown up. I guess, people tend to be more appreciative on things when its gone. =(

Hi 34momma, why wouldn't you? Well, as for me I would want to be a kid again even for just a day or two like a vacation or something.lol Then go back to being a grown up again..
If things like this is actually possible. I guess, everyone could just be really really happy having the chance to relive one of the most problem-free moments in their life.

Now if you say what did I miss out on then I have a laundrylist of things I wanted to do.
The only things I do miss that were schoolish things were chorus class & art class. I miss my Grandmother alot. I also will miss the times when I was about my oldest daugheters age and I made various cookies with my mom, not the greatest but ediable and I got to say I helped!

Hi 3snugglebunnies, I like your name although I have no idea what it means or represent or if it has even any meaning at all.lol
Anyway, so far you're the first one to say that you don't miss your childhood. Why? I imagine you pretty much have a valid reason for saying that. I guess happy childhood doesn't speak for everyone.. By the way bout the cookies, yah you're right at least you could brag about helping your mom on doing that.lol

Hi ya angryeve
I miss a lot of things from my childhood. I miss all the friendships I had at school. I miss the summers that seemed to be hotter back then and the times I spent with friends and family and travelling to visit people. I miss not having to worry about bills!! I miss the different kinds of candies that were available back when I was a kid. I miss the excitement I used to feel about Christmas and making things at school towards the lead up to it. I miss looking forward to the other sort of festivals and carnivals I was brought up with. Need I say more ... haha

Hi humbug, hahaha I actually thought your comment was too short...lol Well some of my friends in highschool and a lot from college times are still friends with me. The longer you are friends with somebody the deeper the friendship gets.
And yah, I love candies too. But never liked it going to the dentist. I always try to make excuses like saying that I don't feel anything and that I'm just fine but the truth is I was almost dying like hell dealing with my toothache.lol

hello, angryeve.
The first impression comes to my mind when I read the title of your discussion, is that the whole family of us play together in the amusement park. We have six member in our family, it is quite big a family. now I think the most happest thing in child is playing in the amusement park. Not in my mind, as long as the whole family comes together, it always would be a happy moment, even when it is just us having dinner at the same table.

here our family is similar to yours. We have size in our family, and all of our four childrens are not at my hometown already. And our four children are not even at the same city, we are far away from each other. Only my father and my mother stay at home. I think they must feel lonely because we all are not around them. we only go home one time per year.
i was thinking when I have enough money and I will buy a house in this city, then I can ask them to come here and we can stay together.

Hi iamfine, I agree to that, the simplest time that you have your family gathered all together is really something that I miss to. We are 7 by the way in our family. But now with all the problems we have as responsible grown ups, we barely have time to really just have a good talk. We usually are busy doing some stuff which is kinda sad. =(

Hi iamfine, sorry for the late reply. By the way, that's really sad. And I really think that they must be feeling lonely there all alone by themselves. I think they would totaly love to move in with either one of you. That's the problem sometimes when growing old, you tend to feel lonelier... though I'm not that old yet..hahaha I just happen to talk to some old people and learn how they feel about certain things.

Hi paulito03, yah I miss going to carnivals too. And my highschool and college life was something I just won't forget. Too many good memories, I could say it was the most happiest moment in my life aside from having a daughter of course..hehe We all kinda wish we get the chance to go back. But too bad for us, that isn't gonna happen.

Hi, bamrahkirti, yah me too. That's one thing that I really really would have wanted to experience again. To be able to wake up without seeing a single bill to pay and be able to sleep without having to think of any problems or plans for the next day. I guess we could only dream but that will never happen.. =(

I miss those times when I didn't have problems to think of, when I was so free and all I did was play and having fun with my friends. My siblings and I would always play outside the house in the neighborhood and it was fun, climbing the trees, playing games and we were very close with almost every kid from our neighborhood. I would usually go back around 6pm and always found my way to the fridge to get myself some ice-cream! There was nothing to worry about...

Hi corrycrystal, its funny I've been getting a lot of responses that says they miss the days when they don't have to worry about anything. That only shows how almost all of us had been worrying.. Well, its not really shocking since nowadays problems keep evolving too.lol And yah I also love having ice creams.. =)

angryeve,
Oooh la la. Your user name scares me! lol. What I miss most during my childhood has got to be the carefree days. The days when all I need to do is play and play and play somemore to pass my days. These days, as a parent, I cant really do that anymore. I worry so much for my son. What will be and many more..

Hi submerryn, hahaha I kinda use it to shoo away and scare perverts. But most of the time its not as effective as I thought it would be.lol
Anyway, I could relate cause I have a daughter, and responsibilities are just getting bigger and bigger since there's a child now that totally depends on me. And I think its normal that we kinda worry too much. We just love our children and always want only the best for them, that's why. =)

The first time mom brought me a Happy Meal and we sat down as a family... when I was little, my mom worked really hard and could barely hang around with us, during my early years I was with babysitters.
But what I would miss the most is when I would feel frightened... creep into my mom and dad's bed.

Hi indybathy, haha yah I do that too before. I even remember when I was little and was having a nightmare where I dreamed of having so many worms around me (I'm totally scared with worms, I don't know why lol), then I just screamed like busting everyone on their beauty sleep. And my parents was quick enough to check me out and waited for me calm down, i could how sleepy they still are but trying to stay awake for me... =)

Hi fezman, hahaha wow that is so right, to actually use your own daughter to cover up your childish cravings.lol just kidding.. I would probably do the same thing, I mean there's nothing wrong about getting some benefits out of being a parent...lol I didn't know you already have a teenager, well goodluck with that. I believe that's where the fighting with parents starts, hehehe..

Hi irefed, well I understand what you feel, I'm kinda rebellious myself when I was growing up, guess it was because of my dad and mom breaking up. After that we just never felt complete again. Partly because we really are not anymore. Anyway, its better to be late than never. There is still a way to make up with them... just never give up on trying =)

When I was just a child,I really wanted to become a doctor for it may help more and more be away from sickness. But now, the dream is just a dream. I have channged a lot and to be a doctor isn't the best choice for me. In fact, I get sick and tired of all doctors.

Hi getbrowser, hahaha well that's pretty much the case of many. I guess because normally, we thought that we had a dream of becoming someone and thought that that is really what we want, but most of the time its not really want we want but more on what our parents want or what our parents would think nice. We sort of depend our answer on our parents approval on things. But as we grow old, we tend to have our mind of our own, judgement of own own, and views of our own.

nice question for me now. i get a lot of worries and thinking these past few days. when i was young, i cant remember worrying about money, status, life, food, shelter and things like that. my parents were always there. well even up to now but it's different as well all grow up and gain more responsibilities in life. that what i miss the most -- no responsibilities.

Hi thamarker, haha yah I would like to have a day without any responsibilities, even for just a day. But I guess the only thing we could do now is wish..lol I'm pretty sure a lot of us realize now how fortunate our daily routines before. We just play, sleep, watch tv... But now sometimes we don't even have a spare minute to relax. =(

What I miss the most about being a child is having a simple life and not having problems like I have right now. I can't believe how violent and problematic my world has become, and I truly miss the days when I only worried about my homework and my grades and just spent my time playing with other kids when I got bored.

Hi angelajoy, yah that's exactly what I miss too. The privilege of having a peace of mind and just play and play the whole day, without having to think about where to get money to pay monthly bills blabla.. But now I can't even take a day off without having to think about any problems. =(

Being able to live life with a tunnel vision and not having to worry about the consequences because your parents will cover for you. Also, having no financial responsibilities or commitments would be one of the bigger issues I have missed. As we get older, our metabolism slows down and so I am not able to eat as much as I would back in the day.

Hi tidalxwave, hahahaha I almost forgot about that fact. Yah, I do miss that. Always getting in trouble and when you feel like you've been cornered and just don't know how to get out of that mess, you'll just let your parents fix everything for you. Although that means you are gonna get in trouble as soon as you get home, probably get grounded or something.lol
