Hello everybody. I am really frustrated because I cannot get a job! I have just graduated from University with a Honours degree in Forensic Science and then moved to Australia from the UK. I have now applied for 30 jobs, some that my degree (in my opinion) makes me qualified to do, and some just in retail, which I have around 6 years experience in. Nobody seems to want me. I have tried changing my cv/resume but still nothing. Im not sure if its because I am from the UK or that I'm only 22 but its really annoying me because I havn't met anybody here yet so I am quite lonely. What should I do?!!

Hello lpreeves
How are you today? What a question. I take it that you are not doing too good with the job hunt and finding friends and all. I wish the best of luck on your search.
I will try to give you tips and maybe it will help you out.
First the jobs that you have applied for I would call them back or go back to them to do a check up on things. This will let the company know that you really want that job. Then I would suggest to find the website that covers jobs in your area and sign up on job boards too. One more thing too...Don't think that Im crazy but it will help. I promise..Get the attitude and say Im going to get this job. When you think positive you carry a positive attitude that everyone can see. Try it..I once again wish you the best of luck lpreeves.. Let me know what happens with you on your job search..

Keep that positive attitude. I know that is hard to do but don't give up. Now go back and check on the ones that you have submitted to. This just might be your lucky day..Go for it..

Hi lpreeves. How long have you been looking for a job? Sometimes it really takes time to find a job especially you're a newly graduate as the competition now is so stiff and some employers prefer those with lots of work experience. Just have a little more patience and you'll find one that's right for you.
