Hi shia,
I did not watch much TV these days. Most of the channel are boring especially the free channel. But I always try to watch my favorite football (especially English Premier League and Champion League) match. Since I did not have an astro, I watch it at mamak restaurant. The environment is lively there especially if that involve the big four teams in English premier league. When I go to my cousin house (they got astro), I love to watch amazing race too.

Hi Akuler,
My husband is also a football fans. He is a manchester United fans.
Last time he used to wake up in the middle of the night to watch the soccer match, but since we have cancelled off the Star Sports channel,he never watch soccer match anymore. But he will still surf some info on the nets about soccer match.
As for me, I am not a football fans.but I love to watch F1 car racing.Last time when I have Star Sports channel (Astro), I never miss out every single racing.
Since this channel has been cancelled off, I never watch F1 car racing anymore.\
Amazing race is another nice show to watch. I prefer to US Amazing Race, more exciting. As for Asia Amazing Race, sometimes can be bit boring. But I still watch both of them.

Hello Shia,
For me, I have stop watching television quite some times already. My house TV is now fully occupied by my kids and my hub. I don't watch TV anymore because of the main reason is NO TIME! I have time to blog and Mylot, but I don't have time to watch TV, LOL. MAybe this could be no Tv programme that get my interest. I like drama, but I only go for Hong Kong drama, I don't watch Singapore or Taiwan drama or Korea drama.
The Hong Kong drama is very boring now... What I can see is only a few famous actor and actress are there. The story is getting the same, nothing special.
But TV is indeed a good entertainment for my kids. I think they could not stand to have no TV a day.

Hi Shia,
I used to like Hong Kong drama. But sad to say the Hong Kong drama isn't good to watch these days. I can see the TVB produces so many drama in a year, not all the drama are worth to watch. Once in a year there will be only a drama that worth to watch, that will be the special production and many episodes to go...
So now I hardly watch any drama...

Hi Vingyan,
I guess most kids like to watch TV.My son also everyday is on TV.But I do limit him for not watching TV all the time.
Sometimes,I play with him, read stories book, colouring and sing together with my son.
Seeing too much TV is not good for our eyes and I really don't wish my son to follow my step, wearing spectacles at earlier age.
I thought most KL people love to watch Hongkong drama?? Then it means I am wrong since you are not Hongkong drama fans.

OH.. I think now even a young kid of 2 years old will want to have the touch of the TV everyday..
As for me, I will also need the TV.. even I am not watching, I will still on it, coz my ASTRO gets to go on radio mode.. and I need the sound to kill the silence in the house.
I think in my house, the TV can only rest when 'everyone' is asleep, and once a single soul up from their bed, the TV will be the next victim!

Shia.. I got freak out some times if the house is too quiet, therefore putting the TV on will be having some 'noise'
Thanks for the info on the cartoon channels, now my girl has yet to start to bug the TV, and only some nursery rhymes sometimes in the morning, while I get myself busy..

Hi Cwong,
It seem your house television is On for very long hours.
I will only on my television when I am at the living room. Normally when my son has woke up in the morning, we will go down for breakfast, then TV will be in On mode till I go up to get my son a bath.
During weekend morning, most of the tv is on with cartoons. That is my son's favourite shows. I even have to record all the doraemon show for him.Every saturday Channel 107 has doraemon show at 7.30pm,never miss out that show.

Yeah, naruto and ben10 is one of the best anime, you should try watch them too with your son (especially ben10, it's good for kids) :)
Heroes is not a celebrity show.
It's a serial movie about people that have superpower. It has a very good story and unexpected things keep happening in the story.
Try look at this site, you can find an info about heroes

I do usually turn the tv on everyday. Most of the time I have it on cartoons for my son. At nighttime I usually watch some show with my husband before going to bed. On friday nights I watch Ghost Whisperer because that's my favorite show. Other than that one I don't really have anything that I really have to watch.

I do watch quite abit of TV probably more than I should. I live out in the country though and there isn't a lot of stuff to do out here. I like a lot of different shows but I think that my favorites would be Dr. Phil, 48 hours mystery, House. and I like Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.

some television shows are really just addicting. You can watch them over and over again and won't get tired. LOL. I have seen extreme makeover home edition episodes over and over again, in youtube, in downloads, and in cable, and I don't care if I have seen an episode already, I would see it again, and cry again. lol.

Hi Ingkingderders,
Sometimes when I am quite exciting about some dramas,I tried to look for it at youtube see whether it is available there as I really can't wait for the nextday to continue the next episodes.
There is a time whereby I am very addicted to this Singapore Drama " The Little Nyonya",I just can't sleep until I have watched this drama to the end.
I managed to get it from youtube, although the screen is small as I watched it from my laptop, but I did enjoy myself watched till midnight.
I also do like to watch show talking about home decorations. Some of them I even recorded it as it might be useful in future for my new house decorations.

When I am free at home, I do watch tv.
But certain days I did not watch at all.
My job requires me to travel alot. At times
when I reached home, it is already time to sleep
But my wife is different, she must watch her favourite
Korean drama on Monday till Friday. Saturday and Sunday, it
depends. Sometimes I notice her watching the Shin Chan cartoon
with my son. Perhaps the only day she did not watch tv was on
Sunday. Then she will be watching movie in the cinema

It's not really a need, but for most people it's probably more of an habit. Depending on the specific cases of each person, it maybe be a good or a bad habit. Mostly it's bad though because televisions are still holding the lives of many people back, giving them an excuse not to work on their reality..

I do like tv, but I can live without it. There are other things I could be doing besides watching tv, when I am bored. The only times I really ever watch tv are on the weekends and a little bit before bed. We have a ton of channels so you'd think I'd watch even more tv, but I don't. Sometimes I'll just look for a movie or watch stuff like family guy, king of the hill, southpark, mad tv, scarred....stuff like that. I like the discovery and health channels too.

Hello shia,
I do watch televesion everyday. But it is not needed. I can manage a day even if I don't watch TV. Watching TV is just my way of resting, and enjoying the show together with my son. On weekdays I only watch the TV in the evening only because during the day I am in the office. During weekends, I have more time in watching.
I like watching comedy show, some talent show and some soaps in the evening.

i watch tv everyday. i make sure i spend two hours of my day at least in front of it watching cooking shows and csi type of shows. i think no matter what show anyone watches it is a form of learning for that person. some are right brained and some are left brained so i think the soap operas, talk shows, action shows, etc. all give knowledge in one form or another to everybody so i think it is a need to spend time infront of the telly .

Hi, shia88! Yes, I watched television however it was not everyday because of work and I do no have a way of recording my favorite show so I just watch them in Youtube if I had the time. I had to work double time to support the increasing need of my family so I work at night then part time at day...so basically watching tv for me is not a need but a luxury. When I can watch tv, I like telenovelas or drama, reality shows like Fear Factor or BigBrother, The Oprah Show, The National Geographic, some anime because of my kids, Play with me Sesame, etc.

I hate to admit it, but I do watch the boob tube every day. I'm pretty much addicted to the Discovery and History Channels. I love the shows like Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters. Of course on the weekends I have to catch the NASCAR race if I can and take in a couple of football games. A lot of times, I have the TV on while I'm on the computer and it's just background noise and I'm not really watching it. Sort of like right now...
