If You had the choice between 20 million dollars right now to strings attaced to do with what you will and live for as long as your life expectancy OR become immmortal what would you chose?
Would you want the money to buy things you never had? would you give some to charitys? Live a long rich life and enjoy the time you had left?
OR would you stay who you are and live that way forever?

I wouldn't want to be immortal unless I was sure that my health wouldn't deteriorate and I wouldn't lose my independance. So, since that's not on offer, I'll take the money thanks. I'd invest enough to live comfortably on the interest, make sure my sons were well provided for, make generous donations to a few chosen charities or fund a hospice for life-limited children/young people. I'm sure one could do a lot of good in the world with that sort of money.

I would choose to be filthy rich rather than living an immortal life working hard.I can use the money to get things I always wanted to have.
I will get a lambo, the latest gaming pc,a james bond watch :P , anything and everything to eat.
Of course I would spare a part of my money for charity.
Interesting question btw. :)

thank you for your answer.. i am still considering what i would chose. most people would chose the money for simply the same reasons.. they dont want to live through what would happen and seeing the loved one die. I am too not wanting to get through life watcing everyone i love die and i would love to go and buy lots of things that i want and giove to the needy as well.. BUT st the same time i am very curious t see what else this world has to over.. to see how the cahngs of the enviroment and techniology will take me.. if i was ever givn this option id be baffled by what i would chiose

I would choose the twenty million dollars rather than being immortal because in my opinion, immortal life in the physical body is a curse and not a blessing. But if I get twenty million dollars, I can speand it on luxurious things and I can purchase a lot and thus enjoy to the maximum and I can also offer some money to the poor and needy.

I would take the money, if you live forever you'll have to go through watching everyone you love die and you'll end up alone. With the money, I'd make sure that all of my family had their own homes and didn't have to work anymore. That way I'd be making myself and my family happy.

Both options seem pretty cool to me, however I would choose immortal life over the money. If I had all the time in the world ahead of me, I would be able to earn that $20 million dollars eventually and still be laughing. With eternal life, you would be capable of learning almost everything the world had to offer, explore every corner of the Earth, and basically do whatever you wanted.
My only assumptions towards this idea are: you would not age, and you would not die.
Other than that, I would love to be immortal instead of only living to life expectancy, and getting $20 Million. Interesting concept to explore, Pudgles.

Well if i'll be given 20 million dollars, first i would pay for it in college tuition, have a small investment, secure my parents (medical and personal security), donate to charities and foundations, become an ambasador, and travel the world.

If I had the choice between these two things, I would choose to stay who I am and live forever! Money means nothing in the long run but I love life and to live this life forever would be way better than to be a millionaire and die anyway!

I always put into my mind, "man cannot live on bread alone". Yes, the facts that we need money in this world but we always remember that our life here is temporary. Time will come we will go for the better life and it was in the Lord's Kingdom.

hello pudgels, good discussion!
Without doubt, I prefer 20 million dollars! with 20 million dollars, I can have a company of my own, I plan to have my own company in 2 years, but if I have the money, I can start earlier, or at give my company a wonderful financial support.
I can pay for intellent man to work for me! I want to trade all kinds of fashion items internationally.
But I don't see any advantage if I choose immortal life. Since if you got immortal life, you have to see your lover grow old and pass out, and you can not follow him, and he would see that you are monster, since he was old when he was seventy, and your look like twenty even though you are the same age to him; and what's more, since you have immortal life, you have to see how our gobal environment going worse, and see the extinct of species one by one! That's really horrible.
So I choose to have a 20 million dollars, shorter but enjoyable life, is better that bitter and long life!

The "all my friends would die" excuse is a little lame, in my humble opinion. Sure, with immortality, you would lose a lot of loved ones. But you make more friends throughout life. An immortal being would NOT have to live a hermit life.
That said, I would choose the money. Live hard, die young.

I choose Immortality. 20 million can't buy that.
I choose life over money. I could live to help others.

I would definitely take the money. I would not want to stay on this earth forever. things seem to get worse here daily. I would want the money so I could live a good life now while I am here.

Hey,
Well I am not sure what other people would choose, but I would choose to be immortal. I mean, you could see all the way the technology around you would advance, how the world would change, and if you would enter the lottery for all those years, you would be bound to win one day. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I would have to take the 20 million and help my family from my parents to my daughters. Pay off their bills, buy my daughters a house. Give to the charities that I'm compassionate about. Live my life enjoying the simple things in life such as love, family and truly enjoying each and everyday that I had left on this earth. As for living forever who would want that. Life would become boring once all your family and friends are gone.

Hehe... I think i will choose the money... If i choose to be immortal, it will be useless when i still live in poorness... And what if i live in immortal and someday i get bored to be alive?.. It will be a misery for all time in life... Well, that just my choice anyway...
