what do we do next?
by now i am watching the news again. some people are whining and some still cannot go out from there houses because the water is still there. from those people of Marikina, Pasig, Rizal.. still they have suffered from the muddy water.
what do our government have to do with it? how could we live again? and now another new typhoon is coming our way?
many people are found dead and still some are missing. while others already got their foods and relief goods. and others still have not yet receive any for their families. but could they sustain to such basic commodities for a longer time?
now we do pay for what we do for our country and on our environment.
i do hope this has become a very good lesson for us to learn what we did. we do have to be aware of the wrong doings we did and now our Mother Nature let us pay back.
we are still moving on. Lets us pray that the coming typhoon would not go our area of responsibility.

hi jhelaichie why do you say mother nature is paying you'back,
whatever did you do so bad, that two typhoons would wipe out
many people and cause so much destruction and mess up so many
'lives? I just think this is nature and nature is never
predictable at all. my prayers are sent to you and all who live where these typhoons are causing such havoc.

well its a payback because we never did truly care for our environment. from garbages around that are all over the places and even on drainages that are blocking the water ways. and our forest, no more trees to be found. so many illegal logging and stuffs which is prohibited but the question is why do they still have the chance to do it? because some officials are the head of it all. oh! so many things we did and now we are paying back the damages we caused for the nature to be so bad for us.

hello hatley,
Jhelai was just saying due to the irresponsible acts of the people of not being so disciplined in their way of waste management, it leads to this kind of consequences. if the trash was pilled up the drainage or if the drainage has limits then, there's always a way for strong waters to come in and take over the roads. Lord Ozz, it's hard to believe that the clean marikina was also affected by flood, It's NOT fair!

hi jhelai.
it's not actually Marikina, Pasig, Rizal that are affected. there are also some parts of Bulacan, Laguna, Cavite, Pampanga and i guess there are still more that are not being reported or never been reached by the media, so we don't hear something from them. I had a talk with my father who is in Tondo. they are also affected by flood waters. I also had a talk with my sisters in Bocaue and Marilao in Bulacan. Our ancestral house suffers great floods there. the water went up to almost 10 feet, they said. we are just so lucky that ondoy did not pass our place.
the government really have to do something about the problem in floods. as LetranKnight25 had said, tunnels should be built. and i can say that if it will not totally solve the problem, at least it will lessen the burden of the people, and so as the government, in terms of funds. we can never know, the next typhoon to come will be worst.
i pity those people, the families affected by the storm. i feel so sad for those who lined up to get foods and other relief goods. more, to those who lost their house, their loved ones, their source of income. i watch the news reports, but sometimes, i can't help but feel guilty, that we are safe and they are still suffering.

Hey, Neil,
You're right but there's no way there gonna built a tunnel now because it's too expensive. but tunnels aren't the only solution, we should be responsible to our own waste management, like recycle and throw the trash properly.i feel pity for them that i hope theycan recover and star over again.

Please know that I prayed for you and your country last night. I feel so sorry for the families of those who lost loved ones. I'm just glad that some have gotten food and relief goods but I will be even happier when the others get theirs as well. I'm sure theirs is own it's way, isn't it? I sure hope so. I just hope that the coming typhoon won't be as bad and it won't hit your area. Hugs! Kathy.

Hello Cyrus,
I want to thank you for your prayers, it's nice that some one out of this country is praying for us here. it's no joke when the hard work was invested on house, appliances, and others, and just like that...gone. again, thank and have a great day.

I am really sorry to see what happen in your country... But that is nature... Nothing should be paid then just accept it... I think the more lost of life can be evaded if the government and the people were prepared before it's happens again... May GOD protect you and others...

jheLaichie,
I really hope that the second wave either does not happen or that your people will be able to avoid the onslaught with effective evacuation.
It is just during these times that there is nothing we can really do accept to pray and hope for the best for everyone in the storm's path. Also, that it will be over soon, so that recovery works can start and relief be brought to the needy.
This is a challenging time for everyone and let's hope that this will be an eye opener for the environment department of your country. Hoping that they will undermine the importance of managing and adopting environmentally friendly waste management and disposal. There is just enough damage already and would hate to see the ignorance and gross negligence to continue into the future. Sure hate to see it happening again.

I think it's aweful what some have to go through in order to see what is happening to them as a whole. At the same time it can be an eye opener. hope things get better.

hello Jhelai,
It seems you went back to your real pic and i think this is new, i love it. well, everything that has happened show the consequences or our mistakes and actions when it comes to being irresponsible in taking care of nature and throwing trash properly. If another typhoon is coming, it's because of Nature and If we have only enough trees, they can slow the water down. commodities are not enough that almost every one in the country is completely devastated (some celebs included). well, it's rainy season and stuff like happens, i agree we should just pray.

Yeah i heard that too. It was such a scary news that two typhoons are on their way to the Philippines. People are still shocked about what transpired last weekend, yet Philippines will experience another two. The 246 lives that the typhoon claimed is more than enough. I can't imagine two new typhoons who might bring more havoc to the Philippines. Let's just pray that the typhoons won't be as worst as the last one.
