then you really don't belong on my Facebook friends list!!
I'm just in one of those moods today where everything is rubbing me the wrong way.
Just a moment ago I uploaded a picture onto my Facebook page. It's a picture that's been sitting on my camera for a few weeks. It's of my 4 younger children.
For the most part everyone on my friends list knows my kids, and if they don't all they have to do is go through some of my other pictures, I have hundreds of pictures on my page!
Anyways, a woman, who is on my friends list, obviously, but we don't talk often, we met on a different website (Pogo) and she added me on FB... well she comments on the picture "What are their names????".
Well that just ticked me off! The least she could have done was gone through some other pictures to see the names of the kids! By now I figure all my friends, who actually pay attention, know the names of all my children, so it's senseless to put the names on each and every picture I upload!!
Would it annoy you if someone left a comment on your FB picture asking the name of your child? Don't you think this person would have no business on your friends list if they don't know your kids names?

I guess it would depend on how well I knew the person. Since she is a woman you met on pogo and that is all you know her from, maybe cut her some slack. Maybe she isn't real big on facebook so she didn't think to go back through all your pictures. Or maybe she didn't feel like going back through them all and just asked. I've seen tons of people that don't put names on any of their pictures so maybe she just assumed that you didn't put their names on any of your pictures. Now, if you two are close enough that she should have known the names of your kids, then I guess you have a right to get upset.

I just think it's rude that someone who's been on my friends list for like a year doesn't know my kids names, and has to type that on their picture for the world to see! At the very least she could have sent me a message instead of posting it on my picture! Anyways, she just comes off as rude to me in everything she says on FB, so I'll probably delete her soon.

Maybe, she just find your kids cute that why she want to know their names. Or maybe she wanna be clsoer to you. In our country, it is really natural to ask whats the name of your kids or whoever they saw in picture and its nothing to us.

I agree with you about Facebook, since it can be a lot more private than MyLot, and a place where most people use real names. Most of the people on my Facebook are friends that I know off line, and in real life, so they usually know who my family members are.

Or even worse, how about when they still don't even know your name? Mine is Rachelle and pronounced RAH~SHELL...funny how some people never get that!

Hopefully she is just trying to be nice but I am with you, in this day and age if you have a bunch of friends that all have 400 pics on facebook, it is hard to find the time to go through them sequentially. I am sorry she ticked you off but the way facebook works is that you can limit people to any album that you have on facebook that you do not want to have access to it. You should not just write those people off because in some ways you accepted her as a friend. You can limit her so she does not see your kids pics. Or you could always just not accept those types of friendships. Someone had to request her in order for her to accept you.
Anyways, facebook can be as secure as you want. And if it was a profile pic then , maybe just use a pic of you only.
