I once wantde to buy a book called Wives and Daughters by Mrs.Gaskell.It's a very good nineteenth-century novel.Iwent to three good bookshops in London. No,they said,they hadn't seen it for years.But they said theywould later I had postcards from all three shops;each of them had found a copy .S I had to buy three coples of Wivws and Daughters.
