A Sunday so memorable !!

This past week has been festival time here in India. It was a long weekend from Friday till Monday. There were many and many things to do, but my best friend came up with an idea. He suggested that we visit "Waterkingdom" - A Water Theme Park, biggest in Asia, located about a 100 kms from our place. I had never been there before so was a bit hesitant. But the morning on Sunday we started on his bike. The early morning breeze was exhilarating, and being a Sunday the roads were free from traffic. We had to cross some small villages with lush paddy fields surrounding. The view was breathtaking before we finally reached the theme park. We had a small accident before reaching there. we tumbled down from the bike due the dirt road. I was left with some bruises, but could it dampen our spirit? Naaahhh... There was a miniature train that took us from the main gate till the park. And once we were there we were welcomed with a lake of water (artificial) with tides coming over. Me and my friend just ran and dived into it. All my fear and apprehensions were gone once I was 'in' there. Then came the turn of the giant slides.We were on each and every slide.It was simply thrilling to fall from 30 mts height or more into a gushing stream. We had decided we were not gonna miss a single slide out there. Our lunch was Chineese food and again we were into the water. I never got drenched or stayed in the water so much before in my life. By the time I reached home I had to take a rigorous bath to scrub off the chlorine, but it was fun. I will remember this day for a long time to come. It was even more enjoyable because we two are great friends and enjoyed every moment of it. I was on my bed that night and still felt as if I am floating.
