Does Evil Exist?

I think evil does exist. Some people are evil, look at murderers etc...that is pure evil, and people who like to hurt others. That is my perception of evil.

B/S... This is known as the Great Lie...Satan downplays his existence, telling man there is no evil, effectively taking away the need for our redemption at the same time. One of the "latest and greatest" tools of the devil.

Actually evil exists, in the same way that good exists. Only God is good, and absence of God is evil. Deeds are be either good or evil, but if good deeds are done with wrong motives, those good deeds are no longer good but tainted with evil. You see if you say that evil does not exist, then neither does good, because good is the absence of evil, but that would also make you a humanist or those people in Judges who did what was right in their own eyes - the law of selfishness. So rather then ask if evil exists, we should ask ourselves if good exists, and confess that only God is good and we humans are tainted by an evil virus called original sin and only God can save us.

Hi, shewolf52002. Yes, I think that evil does exist. Just look around at all of the bad things that happens everyday that is bad. The mean and nasty things that are done is not what God intended for us all. It is the work of Satan and his tactics. I liked this story. Evil does come when it is cold and God is not involved into the equation.

If it doesn't explain to me what the heck its called when somebody takes all human emotion out of an act that destroys another person's soul forever. It exists, I've seen it first hand.

i think evil exists,some people are just born evil and some are turned that way by an event in their life that they couldn't cope with,there's also physical evil,(taking pleasure in physically hurting them)which is bad,and mental evil(which is crushing them mentally) which is even worse
