does a certain song trigger your memory?

i always have flash backs when i hear certain songs. it is not a "this is the song they played at my gradmas funeral", kind of thing. i hear an old song and i remember something i smelled when i heard the song for the first time. when i heard 'hit me baby one more time' for the first time, i was on the phone with my best friend, and i remeber the conversation in detail.anyone have the same thing happen?
