have you ever thought you were too nice

Like all you can do is be nice to people, because that's just who you are and people take advantage of that. I have felt like that sometimes and sometimes I get to the point I'm like I should just be mean and forget about being nice. What brought this on, is well because my husband ex-girlfriend was upset because he would not buy any shoes for the boys after she had changed her mind in him buying the shoes. So she had directed her anger towards me and stuff. So I'm like what have I done. This is the type of person that she always have been since I've met her and before I met her. I'm like all I've done I've been nice to her even though she's my husbands ex and I've taken care of her kids. I could have been the total opposite, but I haven't. But this woman she has been mean to me from the start. My husband in return has been nice to her and has been the perfect baby daddy any girl would dream of having and she still treats him like nothing. Even before he and I have gotten together. Then I wonder is it really worth the effort to be nice to people when they are being mean to you and taking advantage of your niceness.

yeah. I sort of see that also as a weakness. When people found out about my weakness, they tried to take advantage of that. I beginning actually to say "no" and not be nice for once in my life.

Yes I have always been too nice and its only about the past year that I have started to say NO. People have taken me for granted for so long it get a bit irratating to say the least. Now if someone is mean or nasty to me then forget it I will not be a nice person at all. You will then see my true colors come out. How can anyone be nice to someone who is mean to them. I can't tolerate that at all. You need to tell her you treat me with respect or else.

actually my hubby was very nice in the beginning and that is what attracted me to him and now sometimes i wish he wasnt so nice because he has a hard time saying no to people and lets people walk all over him. i am trying to get him to be a little more hard on people.

Hmmm.. well sometimes being nice is not good at all.. cause there people who would take advantage of you and they won't really stop until you budge.. I think sometimes I too am too nice, but there are just some limits to my being nice.
You don't need to be rude, but just make your point that you won't be take it being pushed.
