Selling Vinyl Records and having Fun... what are YOU selling?

I have looked for ways to make some money from my living room and have found a great one... ebay focusing on selling albums and 78's (or "dinosaurs" as my friends call them) in excellent condition.
Targeting just a few areas (VHS tapes of comedies) gives me the chance to get a loyal audience and to learn one or two areas well.
How about you... what do you sell? And anybody out there interested in vinyl records?

Thats fantastic. I have a friend who has over two thousand vinyls in good condition but has no idea what to charge for them or where to sell them. If you dont mind, could you tell us how much you are charging for the records?

Check out my listings at ebay (I am "georgesdiner" there).
I check the prices for identical albums and join the groups related to vinyl records at ebay. It IS hard to keep a profit margin as you normally have to come in below your competition to regularly get sales, but it is worth it.
I usually put it in as 'buy it now' instead of risking low bidding.
Also may want to lsut on craigslist to find local folks interested in buying lots instead of individual albums.
Good luck!

I have been selling old papers, such as old post cards, old magazines, old instruction manuals. It seems like I've had pretty good luck through the years.
I don't do it regularly. But, if I happened to be at an antique mall, a garage sale, the Goodwill store, etc. I will look to see if they have anything that I think might sell.
I started doing this back in 1999 when I was out of work. I had found some old magazines in my attic when I first moved into my home, and for a few years, they were just getting moved from room to room. However, I did know to hang on to them, because they would be worth something to someone someday.
I think eBay became popular in 1998, and was still doing quite well in 1999. It was fun, and something for me to do to earn an extra buck in between jobs.

My husband has been buying and selling Harley Davidson motorcycles and various parts and accessories on Ebay for almost two years now. We also have most items available at our business but things move better on Ebay.
I have a box of vinyl records stored away somewhere...rock music from the 60's and 70's. Maybe I'll take a look at them and see if I want to put any on Ebay.
