My Personal Ondoy Experience

First of all, if you are reading this discussion and you're Pinoy, I'd like to say that you are still lucky after what happened last September 27. I am still very lucky even though my ligaments, muscles and back still hurts from the cleaning that we've been doing since Sunday. Me and my wife didn't get affected by the flood at all, but my mothers house got devastated. Electricity, water, and food supply didn't ran out in our place. I had some friends who lost a loved one, a house, a car and some pretty important documents. It truly is a hard time right now for most of us, but we can look at it as a new biginning. A new hope. We can be back to zero now but we can move on slowly and rebuild. Kudos to those who are doing their part in helping others. After we clean our house, save a spot for me. Id go and volunteer to help out. Cheers! Hang on fellow pinoys! We can make it through.

Yep! Proud to be pinoy. Oh yes, it is really a lesson to us Filipinos what happened last time. Since, you are lucky it is really a good idea to serve other people and help them that suffered from it. We don't still know what will happen again our nature is not normal now. It is us who to blame because we didn't think of a way to save mother nature. Few of us abuse the nature. I think it is a revenge. So, we must at least plan a good idea for nature conservation. Hope this respond helps.

We should really watch our forest. It's infested with illegal loggers. Nature really is going haywire these days.

Nobody saw that a not so strong typhoon would bring such devastation to our country... i am glad that i was not affected... but my heart goes out to those who lost their possessions and even loved ones... Filipinos are natural born survivors... so i am sure that those who lost everything will be able to rise up to the muddy waters that brought this devastation...

Hi there, its so sad that this storm "Ondoy" was left us with so much tragic in many filipinos. We are blessed here in our place that we dont experienced Ondoy much, that time continous rain but no other things happened to us, so were really blessed that time. I am so sad to all our kababayans who are deeply affected by this storm. I am glad while watching the news lots of people helps those victim of this calamity. Its the right time to have a helping hands this time. Lets just pray that those people who are still missing will find already and lets pray also that the coming storm again will not affect us. Keep on mylotting

here in Mindanao, we're really lucky that we're not affected with this typhoon. i get to see the destruction that this typhoon contributed to other parts of the Philippines but we should be mindful that because of illegal logging, a lot of lives have suffered. the best thing that this typhoon gives to us is the realization that we should learn to protect our natural resources so that we will be able to prevent disasters that any calamities might lead us.
