Some friends sometimes boreds you with their stories of their life. But do you think is fair for them to listen to you, without never being capable of listening to their experiences and about their life?

Yes, they really listen to me. And I don't make stories in my Life that is already talked to them. They have given me insights with the situation always. And besides, I'm also a good listener for them.

Nope. Turnabout is fair play. If you expect to receive a listening ear and good advice, then be prepared to give it first. There is no other way for it to work.

Hello Milykeish, in response to your question, i think it is the right thing to do, listen to someone if they take time out to listen to you. i myself do not mind listening to my best friend, most of the things she talks about that have to do with her past life are interesting and if you are truly best friends sometimes certain conversations can be skipped and the person talking will not get offended.

How do you define the word "friend"? I think friend is the man we share stories each other and enjoy life together. So of course I will listen to my friend no matter it's bad news or good one.

I always listen to my friends. I learn a lot about life through my friends experiences. It takes a lot to be an active friend and I try to be just that. As with everything else in life, you get from it what you put in.

No i don't think thats fair for you to make your friends listen to your boring life stories when you don't even take the time to listen to theirs. Plus if thats the case then between your group of friends you need to be counted out as the listener of the group!!

Just describe like this, if my friends wish to share their stories to me, I will feel happy. That shows they trust in me. And I found that, not everyone who tells you their bothers, things haunting them or so wants to get advise from you, they just need to speak it out, then, ok, their goals achieve. So, maybe a quiet listener is all they want and need. I hope my friends will take me as a good one.

I think we should do things without expecting any reward, if you isten to your friends and they do not listen, you must follow as you are with them, imagine if we do because the other does not, as it would be this world. Some day this friend who does not listen will find that you were always there to listen.

Yes, because my best friend is me. Just kidding, sort of. I do think people should rely on themselves, more than the opinions of others. Best friends, as long as the trust is there, can be an amazing help for us in difficult times. Whether I would always do what he/she said, well that is debatable.
