There is this chocolate place around here called Chocolate Chocolate Chocolate. They have quite a wide variety of chocolate dipped items. One that kind of surprises me is their chocolate dipped Red Licorice. I thought about trying it, but then again it does cost quite a bit for what it is. Have you ever had chocolate dipped licorice? What is the strangest thing you have had dipped in chocolate?

I have to say, chocolate dipped red licorice sounds wonderful, though I've never tried it. What is the strangest thing I've had dipped in chocolate? I'm not sure. I've seen chocolate-covered potato chips, but didn't try them. That just sounded strange to me, but I know many people like sweet and salty flavors together. Pretty much almost anything would taste good dipped in chocolate!

Never heard of such a thing. The strangest thing I think I've heard of are like chocolate dipped bugs. But I don't think chocolate dipped licorice would be too bad, better than bugs or fresh fruit.

How odd. I never would have connected the two. I don't really like licorice. It doesn't have much of a taste to me. I did a discussion about a week ago about a shop that sprinkles their chocolate icing (iced?) cupcakes with crisp bacon. But I think the strangest thing I ever heard about that was dipped in chocolate and eaten, was a chocolate covered cricket. I don't know how this company stays in business. It's in the United States too! It was either the Food Network or the Discovery Channel that did a segment on it. Anyway, they dip the crickets in chocolate, have them dry, then either sell them in the store or ship them out to online customers.

mmm that sounds super great...jeesh i think i want to try one of those chocolate dipped peanut sprinkled apples. the price for chocolate is a bit inflated but i think it keeps us chocolate lovers in check....but just a tad bit.
