I'm sure that listening to English news will help. That's the way babies learn to talk, isn't it? Listen, but don't be shy about speaking, because babies also learn by speaking. You won't know if you have it right until you actually say it.

My personal experience show that spoken English is the hardest part, especially with listening to other's speaking, and when he's native or someone with origin accent is still dominant when speaking English. Writing skill and grammar can be enhance by yourself learning the materials. But spoken English need others to be able to practice it. And listening to the news is one good way to enhance our listening skill.

I think its possible to learn by listening i do it all the time, with audio books and the like I have taken an audio book anthropology class and also learned from a few very serious books about ecology and the fast food crisis. So I think its possible if your disciplined about it.

Hi there Anjanabs! I believe that's true. That listening is a great way to learn and be more fluent in English. I heard that using audio books helps lots of people learn correct pronunciation in any language that they want to learn. Practicing written English is great too that's why I believe that Mylot can be a great opportunity to improve our English too.

You can learn English that way. Try figure out the definition of the words that you don't understand by the rest of the words in a sentence. It's better for you to practise while listening to it too. You already hear the words so it's a good idea to learn on how to pronounce it.
