When you were still a kid, what did you want to be when you grow up?

yes, i dreamt of becoming a stewardess when i was younger. that didn't come true. i changed interest too and wanted to become a nurse, but that didn't materialize. dreams may or may not materialize, depending on circumstances and a lot of other factors, too. would u like to know what my youngest son wanted to be when he was only 3 years old (he is now 19)? he wanted to be a garbage truck driver, lol. that made us laugh not because we despise that work but because we were just amazed how a young mind wanders ... was probably because he always sees one who picked up our garbage every week.

when i was younger, i dreamt of becoming a teaher, mainly because i dont know other professions hehehe. when i grew older, my mom pushed me to pursue a medicine. So i did take a medical related course but i no longer pursued the actual medical course because it was too expensive to flunk. i loved music. i hoped to be a voice teacher but my parents told me that music could not make you financially stable. Now, i am an account broker in an insurance firm and i am handling medical claims. Having medical knowledge is such an advantage in my job. and oh by the way, i may not have been a voice teacher but i served in a church here as a choir master. i guess i was close enough. Whatever ive been through, i am happy and i know that i am blessed.

I wanted to be a writer and a singer and I wanted to have my own band. The truth is that as much as I love to sing, I can't carry a tune. I do write for at least part of my income, though.

Hi there A Late Cable Bill! When I was young, I dream about being a teacher someday. Then, I wanted to be a politician and after that, I wanted to be a journalist. Now that I am older, I'm back to the first dream and I hope to be a teacher in two years time.

Hello alatecablebill! Interesting discussion you have there! I had many ideals when I was younger. I wanted to be a doctor, then a journalist. I started to read tons of magazines, and fell in love with the articles. When I get a little older, I wanted to become a web designer. Now I end up working for the government as tax administrator lol.
