Yes, Typhoon Ondoy struck Metro Manila and other nearby provinces in the Philippines last Saturday, September 26. This was the most deadly and devastating in our nation's history. Almost every places are flooded and the damage to both lives and properties are almost unbearable. Everyone, especially those that are blessed and were not victims of this calamity, have been helping the victims. Many people made donations of cash and in kind to the victims. Help in any form are sought. Would you help?

Hi sabrina4562! I think whenever there's a disaster, people seems to be nice and good with each other, trying to offer any help that they could give. I have experienced this when I'm trying to find a way to get home. Though I'm into the province, most of the roads were also flooded with water. Fellow drivers that I run to were very accommodating and friendly to give advise whether the road is passable or not. I think the good side of us always shows whenever there's a need for it, such as the victims of this calamity. Have a nice day!

Thank you so much for your comment, Tholitz. Inspite of hardship, people still find time to help and to care. On September 26, our family were stranded in the church. We went home the following morning. Luckily, all of my children are with me, if not, I maybe one of those people who tried hard to reach home but to no avail. God is really good. Our house was also safe. Flood did not entered our house, it stopped in the gutter. As of now, our family is distributing goods to some victims especially to those who have not yet been reached by ABS CBN, GMA network or the government agencies. Please help pray for the victims.

It just shows that Filipinos really have a nice heart and a genuine spirit that cares for other Filipinos who are in need. It is times like this though it is sad that we have encountered this calamity, proud to be a Filipino. It also shows that if we really want to do something, there is a way and we will find it. Filipinos are born survivors.
