I do not think it is okay for a teacher and student to fall in love. Or even date. I think it crosses the lines. Even if they are adults. As there are ethical lines that should not be crossed. It also tends to turn out bad for the student if the relationship does not work out between the teacher and student while dating. I reallythink if a teacher and student like each other that much. They can wait til the student finishes school before dating. As for teachers dating anyone younger than of age...I am totally against that and think any teacher deserves to loose their job. Plus have their teaching license pulled.

My response makes perfect sense to me. I am not trying to give sense. I gave my opinion. Maybe you just don't understand.

I totally agree with you rusty2rusty. It really has a perfect sense. It is really acceptable if the student finishes first his/her study before continuing their student-teacher love affair. :)

It should be a big NO-NO! Very often students are attracted to their teachers but it's not right to have that kind of love. Teachers are sort of like parents and should not be seen as more than friends. But sometimes people's feelings cannot be controlled. Despite my personal views I certainly do not condemn anyone who has had a successful relationship with a teacher.

When you get in college, though, and the age differences become less and less..And a lot of the TA's are freshly out of undergraduate school themselves..then what?

This kind of thing happens in real life. Closeness and bonds just form while teaching and being taught. This kind of thing can be avoided if there are a lot of students that the teacher is easily distracted by other students that it keeps them from being too close to a particular student beyond the boundaries of the student teacher relationship. If they really are serious and they are both mature enough then I think that they would know how to avoid this kind of situation. If its already too late then the teacher should quit or transfer to a different school. They should wait for the student to graduate before they can "be together". Of course this kind of relationship is very taboo. That's because in this kind of situation there is great possibility of taking advantage of a minor or something like that. And so, to avoid conflicts and moral issues, teachers and students shouldnt really be together. If they're really serious about each other, ..love can wait, right?^_^

Some times love is n't easy controled by yourself when it comes.i don't think you should n't love because of status, money ,age and so on if it's a true love. i think when you fall in love with somebody, you should always remember whom you are . what the correct thing you should do no matter whom you love.

well nothing can be termed as wrong in todays world as everything which has explanation is accepted and love always has a explanation without barrier but love between teacher and a student is too unethical.
