One should should have a good shamppo i use the thesame shampoo and conditioner for dryed damaged hair and i really like it its brought back the shine to my hair and made it alot more healty it feels really nice when i touch it now and i dye my hair so that really important to me. another thing is when you get out of the shower you should brush your hair with a wide tooth come cause this will help prevent split ends, and finally use a heat protection on your hair tesame has one nad works well. also make sure that you take vitamines it helps your hair grow. If you guys have any other tips plese share them

You offered some great tips, swadey. A healthy lifestyle is also important in growing long hair. Eat your fruits and vegetables and eat lots of protein. Make sure to keep those split ends trimmed, even if your hair is in good condition. Avoid dying hair or using chemical treatments often, probably once in 6 months is fair. This damages your hair. When using blow dryer, curling iron, straightening use on low heat and use less. Let your hair air dry sometimes. You should also appy a deep conditioning treatment once a week.

Being a male with very little left on top, I'm in no position to advise anyone on how to grow longer hair. However I do have a suggestion. Since it'll take a long time to grow your hair to the required length, have you thought about hair extensions as a short term solution? Or would it damage your natural hair?

I have long hair. Well past my shoulders. But my hair is very coarse thanks to my Italian heritage. I use Pantene shampoo and conditioner and also a leave in conditioner. I straighten my hair a lot too. I use the leave in conditioner a lot when I do that. My hair is much softer when I have it straight. I take vitimins too. I don`t know that it helps my hair grow cause mine grows fast anyway. My hubby had long hair but had it cut really short so he could get his job at the VA hospital. Now he is letting it grow back out. His hair is always soft. He doesn`t do anything but shampoo it with Pert 2 in one. He is one of the lucky ones I guess. I get jealous lol.
