I think that it never depends on the gender but the conditions in which the person is raised. If the person is raised in a costly family and there is a lot of money to spend and the parents never take care of what the person is doing, then be it female or male, the person will have poor money management skills and will budget poorely. If the same person is raised in a less rich or even rich family but with good money management skills or if parents monitor how the person spends money and asks to maintain a log or accounts book, then surely, the person will have a great money management skills and can budget better.

I think men are better than women to handle money. We have limited vanities in life and our finances only goes to food, electronic stuffs, men's things, nothing else. Men are also passive when it comes to their purchasing/buying habits unlike women who are implusive when it comes to this area. They want to buy all the they like. Anyway, I can always understand their whims and caprices. Happy lotting!!

Though my husband is the one having a job i am the one kept on reminding him most of the time about buying stuff especially when we are having our food trip or craving for a food. This is our habit already. I just see to it that whatever he earns must be kept and handled well especially that his family needs his financial help from time to time. It may not be always yet it is our obligation and way of paying gratitude when we are in need they are the one helping us.
He hates me for listing the things we buy and ate whenever we go out. At to the extent that he ask me to total stop my habit of doing it. So, to avoid misunderstanding; I did stop doing it in front of him but secretly. This is to monitor and know where does his earnings went for future usage. I don't want to be accused someday of spending his earnnigs to not important things or needs and does not know our priorities.
We both know that in case of emergency we have no one to run to and we are shy to ask help from anybody. A lesson that we learned way back---- ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR THE EMERGENCY EVENTS THAT MAY OCCUR UNEXPECTEDLY.
