Definitely drink a lot of fluids. Juices and water. Don't drink a lot of orange juice if you get some coughs cause orange juice help build up mucus. Drink cranberry instead and have some freshly made chicken soup. You can never go wrong with chicken soup to fight cold. Feel better.

Take grapefruit seed extract pills and eat crushed raw garlic cloves (mix w/juice) until symptoms go away..This is what I took when my family got the swine flu and I never caught it..make sure you are also getting enough vitamin D from the sun or vitamin. I also take fish oil pills everyday..

zinc, they suggest you let it dissolve in your mouth - but I can't stand that, so I just swallow it whole

Drinking a hot toddy is often helpful. I got rid of a very bad cold almost overnight after drinking a hot toddy. It's hot tea, lemon, honey and a bit of whiskey. The lemon actually has a very high amount of Vitamin C so, the more you put in, the more C you get. It will make you sweat and you should keep covered up to encourage the sweating because it helps to rid your body of the virus faster. There are lozenges now made from echinacea and zinc that help to lessen the severity and length of cold symptoms. I always have them around when colds are all over the place. They really do work! Good luck in your office! I once worked in what was called a "sick building". The ventilation system apparently sent germs all through the building and people were always getting sick and passing it along. The best I can advise is to wash your hands often whenever touching anything that someone else has touched and never touch your nose, mouth or eyes before washing your hands. That's how germs get into our systems after we've touched something with the cold virus on it. Also, don't stand too close to anyone, especially if they have symptoms of a cold.

I take an extra multi-vitamin. One in the morning, then one at night. It seems to help my body fight off whatever I am coming down with. If my stomach is upset, I drink a mixture of Sprite and orange juice. The Sprite helps to calm my stomach and the orange juice gives it a little kick and provides extra vitamin C. I also take hot, steamy baths to help clear my sinuses. I try not to take any medicine if I can avoid it because I feel that if we take it all of the time, it own't be effective when we really need it. One thing I do use is Vick's though. I rub it on the bottom of my feet before I out on my socks. It helps calm my cough and helps me breathe better.
