an error with an msi file

Hello to all. I'm getting an error 1305 when I try and instll some programs. it refers back to the msi file wich I'm running and it says to check to see if they exist. I know theydo. I'm running the things. anothe r one sais error reading from and it gives the path to the msi file and it says to make sure th file exists. duh. I'm running it! so what's going on! I've reformated and it's still happening. ive scanned for viruses and spyware nd such. I'm running wndows xpsp3 on a laptop running 1 gig of ram.

I have an envidia ATI vidio card and i visited windos update to see if there were any isues and no updates for these drivers. I have to use a screen reader to acess all of my stuff but I don't want to reformat again as I don't thik that's the problem. my soundcard drivers are up to dte as well.
