No I'm not wanting to know for me, because I am already married. But has anyone ever tried out those dating sites like eharmony.com and match.com and actually met someone and it led to marriage or anything like that. My brother, because my mom is divorced and alone and my brother wants her to get back out into the dating field. So he had suggested those sites and my mom said she did not like them at all. My mom is like 50 years and she said that these sites did not help her find anyone. And the matches that they sent her was not a match at all and all the men were like really old like in their 70s and 60s. She said also sometimes she would find a few and send them a message right and none would ever respond back and they keep asking for money to continue her membership and my mom just gave up on it. Has anyone had a success on these sites if so please share.

I was 49 years old and had been divorced for a long time. My son was raised and I worked in a small manufacturing company whose employees were already married or younger than I. I would get very lonely and decided to try Yahoo Personals just to find a friend to talk with. At that time, the service was free so I wasn't out any money. A clever headline to draw attention from the crowd is a good idea, but the most important thing is honesty. If you would rather order pizza and watch old movies on t.v., then don't put fine restaurant dining in your profile. Be honest with what you are looking for too. There are some sites that I tried that I had no success, but Yahoo was different. Several nice men wrote to me and I was very happy to have some new friends. However, one man, a widower, stood out from the crowd. He lived 250 miles away in a very small town and I would have never met him without the internet. We wrote every day for quite awhile and talked about kids, family, growing up, hopes and dreams, etc. He called me and we talked for a couple of hours. Then he asked if he drove to the city, if I would like to go out to dinner. I said sure. Well, we married a year later and have been very happy for nine years. Yes, you can find true love on the internet, but be cautious and follow all the good sense rules you would for dating someone you have never met before and GOOD LUCK! Hope your mom can find someone too.
