I'm watching it again. I'm just in a really Beatle-y mood lately, i guess. ;)
Anyway, what are your thoughts on it? I love the music. And most of the imagery is amazing. Although, I am rather disappointed in how they did "Being For the Benefit of Mr. Kite."
so, thoughts?

I watched that movie the other day for the first time.
I didn't particularly like it. I do like some musicals, and I also think some of the imagery and creativity put into the film was absolutely amazing. I just thought all the songs were too much the same- i didn't see much of a contrast between upbeat songs and slow, sad songs, and for that reason I found it kind of boring. xD

The version of "I want to Hold Your Hand" made me want to puke. Just awful. You can't slow that song down and make it sad...
Also the entire character of Prudence I just found annoying. She really wasn't central to the story at all. Just an annoying and completely unnecessary subplot.
Ha, but yeah, I actually did enjoy it quite a bit. Not one of my favorite movies, but well worth watching once or twice.

As a very devoted, die-hard Beatle fan, I believe anyone who is a Beatle fan should check this movie out.
About the violent images, the story takes place in the 1960s where a lot of violence was going on in America and Vietnam. That was the reality when these Beatles songs were being played on the radio. Don't mind the sappiness of some scenes, as other scenes were great to make up for it!
