BOO - Almost Halloween And The Lost Spirits Are Returning! He He He!

It's almost three months since I decided to take time out. I was never too far away from all my special friends... I was always here in spirit, but I thought now was a good time to return. The harvest is in, and the fiery days of summer have turned into balmy autumn days, with the richly coloured leaves getting ready to leave the trees. My favourite time of year... naturally, as I'm an Autumn Child.
Apologies to those who didn't realise where or why I'd gone. I don't want to go into things but this past summer has been a very busy time for me both on and off line. I've shed a few so-called friends, been accused of being a trouble causer according to rumour, which is wrong, and I've made a lot of new friends who are great fun to be with. I became quite excited to find like-thinking people, battle re-enactors, Viking warriors and even a guy in America who does both these, and even revealed to me that he'd visited one of my favourite ancient, Saxon sites in Britain. I've been fighting alongside them in my castle and helping them to slay dragons, if only to take off the supression I was feeling over some pretty heavy stuff that's been going on... still is, in fact. Life goes on and the sun keeps on shining.:)
Here I am then... alive and kicking... not so well at the moment as I'm suffering a catarrh cough and cold, but that will soon be gone, and I have to get and visit my dear friends whom I haven't been able to visit yet, this year. I've been invited to a 50th party on Saturday too, and it's my birthday that day, so I HAVE to get better.
So... what's your news everybody? I've really missed hearing it all. I'll be checking back every now and then!

well, we had a miserable summer in Texas, 68 days of 100º or higher - that's like 38-41º C...
but we've finally had a break in the heat and some lovely cool weather and rain!
I'm not a re-enactor, my health isn't up to it, but I hear its lots of fun!

Eeeek! Well, I guess you're acclimatised, my friend, but I couldn't stand that sort of heat. My body isn't built for it and I'm far too fair-skinned. Thirty degrees is even a bit high for me if it's constant!
Isn't it refreshing when the rain comes? Did you go out and dance in it.. hold your face up to it. Rain is very cleansing, and makes you feel so much more invigorated. I'm glad you got a break at least.
I don't actually take part in re-enactment, but I love to watch it. The guy in California does Viking Berserker re-enactment if you can believe that! He's funny! I love the cameradery of re-enactment battles. They're great!
Brightest Blessing my friend. It's sure good to see you and the others again. Take care, and thank you for your contribution.

hun, if I kept my mouth shut I could probably pass in lots of Ireland as a native, ashe blond hair, pale skin, freckles... moles too - I'm a very spotty person... My sister's moles are mostly on her back, mine are primarily on exposed flesh, face, arms
in fact, I've had 4 off my back, 2 off just below my neck in front (determined to be suspicious by a skin doc) 1 off my face, 2 off my right arm and a number of skin tags off around my neck line, bra band line and a big mole on the back of my neck that the shirt tags were always irritating...
of them all, only the ones on my back and the one on my neck were not visible, even the ones on the front were about where they'd show in a crew neck shirt
I was once asked here if I were "attached" to any of my moles and I said - well besides the obvious, the one on my left palm I was rather fond of

Hello, Zed, my friend, and thank you. Yes, it's nice to get back from time to time and find out all the news. I won't be spending quite so much time in here as I used to, but will put aside a little each day for a visit. :)
Thank you for your kind words and Brightest Blessings.

Hi again Zed! I spend most of my time on Facebook. I've met up with a lot of Mylot friends on there, local friends from my village and outlying areas and also, have made a number of new friends. I play games on there; mainly Castle Age, which is a lot of fun, and it takes up a lot of my time. Are you on Facebook?

Your card is here, I believe! It came this morning but I shan't open it until Saturday... thank you and huggggggs. xxxx
Yes, I'll always let you know, but there are times, as you know and respect, when one needs a little time to oneself, or needs to get away from the computer and phone for a while. It's the only way I know how to cope sometimes. I'm quite fond of just wandering off somewhere on my own and finding my inner self.
I'm sorry to hear about Gissi. Poor little fella... and on top of all that, he doesn't know whether you prefer him barking or quiet. Ha ha ha.
The rumours? Well, you know what all that was about, and I've put another trouble out of my life and moved on yet again. I don't have time to stop and argue the toss with such absurdity. They're only jealous. Besides, if I'm so bad, why are they always trying to get back on my friends list all the time. They get ignored... I'm not going there again! lol.
Brightest Blessings, my dear, sweet friend. I hope you're feeling a lot better, and that Gissi gets back to barking the house down soon. Give him a big HUGGGG from his Auntie Darkwing. Take care, and thank you again. xxxx

I've been more or less back since the spring. BUSY year for me too. Not really dramatic per se, just highly eventful.
I had a real birthday for the first time in years. I'm in a relationship again. There's been farming. Becoming a more active pagan. Growing as a person. Learning alot more...and seeing alot of interesting things and meeting new people...got a new dog, etc etc.
On top of my usual newsblogging, online earning, and trying to earn my name as an artist, hehe.
I'm glad to hear you've had an Okayish summer...at least it's not all bad! Some crazyness yes...but I guess that's what keeps life interesting, eh? Get better and have a great birthday!

Wow... it seems that your year has been spent in growth, my friend, which is wonderful news. Now you can sit back and rest, and reap the rewards with the harvest. This will be your second Samhain if I remember rightly... is that so? If it is, then I hope you have a very happy celebration with those you care about most.
Life is one big lesson, comprising of several small ones, yes, and to learn the lessons properly, we have to take some down-times as well as good times. You're so right! These things shall pass though... they always do.
Brightest Blessings and thank you for your Birthday wishes and your interesting contribution.

Second celebrated Samhain, the other two I hadn't been able to really celebrate much. ^_^ I'm rather happy that I spent this year on growth, it's been something I've been trying to accomplish for my life for a long time just never really managed to do in the way I longed for.
Anyway, glad to contribute! =)
Blessings! 'an it's good to see you back around on mylot again.

I've been too long coming back to this... I'm sorry, my friend. You will not only have celebrated Samhain but also Yule, now. Spring is coming... Imbolc and the Christian Festival of Light. I guess, like the rest of us, you're making preparations for both that and the Spring Equinox... enjoy! The evenings are pulling out again, which tends to give all of us new hope and brightness. :)

good to have you back. I liked your title that's why I responded, I really like Halloween and the fall. But it''s been much colder this year for the first week of October.

Thank you Doglady, both for the warm welcome back and for liking my title. :) When you get to know me better, you'll understand my love for the Autumn months and for Samhain/Halloween. It's been a little bit nippier here too, in England, but we've had sunny days and with sunny days, come cold evenings. The moon was big and bright tonight anyway and I'm feeling a whole lot better.
Thank you for your contribution. I hope we shall see more of each other in here. Brightest Blessings.

Hey Ash! It's great to see you too after such a long spell. I hope you're not getting too dejected there. Frustration, hassle and creepy-crawlies seem to be the order of the year for almost everybody, but now the harvest is in, we can stop worrying... cast off that which is of no further use to us, and re-nourish our souls.
Apart from this wretched cough, I'm fine. It's just a temporary health dip and I'm sure it won't stay around too much longer. I feel ok, but just can't stop coughing and sneezing all over the place! lol.
Tell me more... do you still have your job? How have you settled in your new place? What else is new? I'm all ears where my best friends are concerned.
Thank you so much for coming back to me so quickly and for your special words. I've missed you and the others a lot but I've opened up a new outlook on life. Just have to settle a couple of things closer to home now and all will be great, hopefully in time for Yule and Christmas! :)

Yes, your right about that, everyone is definitely going through a lot this year.
For me, i quit my job to start a business, then my husband and i faced some pretty intense financial downfall, so i had to give up the business side of things and file some pretty crappy paperwork.
But right now i think we're on our way up, just have to figure out how to make this work.
I hate to hear that your not well, i know it's just slight but it always worries me a lot when i hear your feeling ill.
if you still have msn you should come online and chat for a bit, i'm here for the day, got fed up and took the day off.
I don't own the business anymore but i'm still working for it, feels sort of blah now.

So sorry to hear about the problems you've been facing, my dear friend. I hope all picks up again for you very soon.
I rarely put MSN on because it interferes with the running of my programmes but I'll pop in there sometime when I have two minutes, to see if you're around.
I'll be fine... it's just a cold and cough as far as I can make out. I'm dosing up with Beecham's and Hot Lemon to try and bring down the temperature and loosen up the catarrh, so hopefully, will be ok for the weekend.
Have a lovely evening!

Awwww thank you Royal. I have had some fun just this past week or so. I met up with a lot of great people, who are not yet really friends, but they sure are interesting! lol.
Thank you for the warm welcome back, my friend, and for the Halloween wishes. It's a little while yet but I shall begin my preparations now we're into October. What are you studying at college? It's great you enjoy it and find it fun. I'm happy for you.
Brightest Blessings, my friend. It's great to see you, as I have missed you all too.

Hi Darkwing and Welcome Back!
Sorry to hear you are ill and I hope you feel better soon. Maybe it's good you got sick now in the Fall, and you'll be sick-free all Winter! That would be great wouldn't it?
So you've had quite a storm going on hmm? Must have been pretty bad for you to leave for such a long period of time. Don't you just wish people would mind their own business and leave you alone? They always gotta stick their noses in other peoples affairs, when they really just need to get a life of their own.
I've only been back myself for about a month or so...what a rough year, not only for me, but for everyone. And what's funny is, I say every year on New Years, "Oh, I'm so glad that year is over" and BOOM! The next year isn't any better and sometimes worse. It's been pretty hard.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY soon!! For sure you need to get better! That is my Happy Birthday Wish for you!

Hi, my lovely friend, and thank you. I'm not really, really ill, just coughing and sneezing and bunged up with a bit of a temperature. I'll soon be right, hopefully, as I'm dosing up with Beecham's and Hot Lemon and sleeping off some of the time.
Yeah, it's been a stormy year, for sure, but got worse in the summer, and I've been quite busy running around. As for the people sticking their noses in, I think it was just said to spite me because I told them what I thought of them... not in a harsh way at all really but they jumped, and it seems my name has been dragged around the gutter, but I still won't get into a slanging match over it. I've moved on and left them behind, and happier for it. :)
It's good to see you back here, and yes, you're right... everybody seems to have had a pretty rough ride this year. Strange how that happens, huh?
Thank you for the Birthday wish. I'll have to see if I can't turn things around from then on, because in my life, that's the beginning of a new year, isn't it? :)
Brightest Blessings my friend, and thank you for your contribution.

hi darkwind your user name sounds familiar but I have just come backon line about a month ago after having been off for eleven long months due to some life catastrophes which have made me have to live here for on in Gold Crest and my son in gov.paid housing so he c an live while he looks for work with his three also unemployed fellow tenants.we do plan on getting back into a family once my son gets a job and makes some money. The bad economy and my son losing his job caused all our catastrophes.
Hope your cold is better soon darkwind.

Hi Hatley. Yes, you were on my friends list before. Wow... eleven months is a long, long time. I hope everything's ok now with your son and that you're both happy. Do you mean you had to move out of your house into something like sheltered accommodation? Oh my... I'm so sorry if that's the case. It's heartrending to have to move out of a place you've inhabited for some amount of time. Just when your son got you trained to lock the door when he was out of the house, too! lol. Yes, I remember some of your stories in discussion... I followed you around quite a bit.
I expect you're still on my friends list but if not, I'll send you another request, ok? Brightest Blessings for a better future year, or so, and thank you for your contribution. Take care. This too shall pass, my friend. xx
