My favorite verse in the bible is Proverbs 22:6 - Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it. I want my child to be in the right path in the future so this verse is really applicable for me. This is my life verse. You? what is your favorite verse in the bible.

I believe the Bible is authored by God. The writers only penned the stories for Him. The Bible is actually experiencing God. At least that is how I feel whenever I go through the fantastic plots. Simply incredible! Perhaps you can begin reading the funny stories like that of Noah and the great flood. Noah is really a funny person, I think. And then there is the story of David and Goliath, the children's favorite. I do not like decapitating but wow! David was just a small boy battling an armored giant. The Bible is full of wonderful stories... Joseph and his coat of many colors, the prince of Egypt, the loyalty of Ruth, the friendship of David and Jonathan, Jonas in the belly of a whale...wow! great stories.

My favorite verse is Micah 6:8. It says, "I've told you, man, what is good. Yours is to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God." I go to the UCC and that verse I think is our national credo. We are also known for, "Why put a period where God has placed a comma?" You may have seen the big black and red signs that say "Still speaking". That's us. I'm quite proud to be a UCC member. We're very progressive as a group, and I'm pleased to finally have found a faith community that doesn't impinge on my politics.

The Bible is a pretty long book to have just one favorite verse. Probably, you chose that verse because you work with children or you may have many children in your family. You can relate with that verse. I also used that verse when I had a preschool more than a decade ago. And parents came to entrust their toddlers to me. But for this discussion's sake, I could think of Psalm 23 which I always utter whenever I am afraid...If I should ever walk in the valley of darkness, no evil would I fear, You are there to show the way...

Psalms 5:1-5, "Give ear to my word, Oh Lord. Consider my meditation. Harken unto the voice of my cry, my King and my God. For unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning. Oh Lord, in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee and will look up." I love this passage because I learned it set to music. But more than that, it makes me feel like my relationship with God is personal & important. My prayers are not just one more voice in a crowd of believers.

All of the verses are really good and meant for us believers but there's this one verse that I like the most, Luke 1:37 - For with God nothing shall be impossible. There are times in our lives that we faint and lost hope and faith because of certain circumstances but always remember this verse whenever you feel everything is very impossible to achieve and happen.
