well,it sounds good to become popular, actually it shows what people think of you,do they like you or not.I guess a real popular person must be nice,or maybe be good at doing something interesting, rewarding. So,others would like to be your frind and like you.Yeah, maybe a popular person does attract other because he/she is good-looking,but good personalities are more important.I don't think that I am a really popular person,I am not good at communicate with others face to face,a little shy,but I do have a few really good friends.

Well, if you think about it, its not really cool to be popular because as the word says, you are popular! simple, like the other ones, known by everyone cause everyone can understand you and everyone wants to be like you, so if youre popular then you are simple with lots of friends but little thoughts , and for me that´s bad, also i have to say that in high school i had a lot of friends, i used to have good notes and read books and i remember that i didnt searched friends, they came to me hehe even if i didnt want to be popular, i was popular somehow.

I'm a Sociology major in college so therefore that is exactly where my definition comes from. Popular people are the ones that people don't necessarily want to be like, but they are the ones that tend to have the most goods and they tend to be opinion leaders in the sense about fashion etc.
Of course I thought most of the popular kids in my school were stuck up b****es and a-holes, and most of them tend to think too highly of themselves. I was the type of student that had my friends and that's who I cared about. It was really weird too since I had like 3-4 sets of friends that didn't hang out with each other nor really knew each other and its actually continued into college.

I think being popular means that everyone is attentive to you. Everyone wants to be with you and be like you. Popular people seem to have a ton of friends too. They have the world at their feet. When I think of being popular, cheerleaders always come to mind. They were always the most popular girls when I was in high school. Unfortunately, I was never a cheerleader!

I was never really popular in high school, although I definitely had a normal circle of friends that I spent most of my time with. The truth is, that especially in high school, I was definitely more reserved and had to get to know people first before being outgoing around them! And that's why, I think, I wasn't "popular" by the normal meaning of the term. I don't really care though. The high school I went to wasn't a typical one; it was an inner city public high school - so the school was generally divided into the two categories: graduating and possibly going somewhere, and not graduating and not doing anything with their lives. LOL. Sad, but true. We really didn't have the typical cliques that suburban or private schools seem to have - like "jock", "goth", "prep", and so on. We just didn't have that, which was actually nice - because I really don't know where I would fit in on that scale.

Hi guest.I think,There are no every people to be popular but there are many reason someone could be popular.Because the rich, smart, beutiful,or to bad person.Positif and negatif reason.I don't want to be a popular because sometimes without we ask, people could know you.But surely for good reason. You could be their model of life, model of succes.I think, yes I was popular at school 15 years ago.I was leader of student organization,I was won many student competition. But I ever felt bad to be a popular. Some people who don't like you, always make something to make you drop.
