Love means never having to say you're sorry. That is love in the 70s. Have you got any other meaning for LOVE?

Hi, eileenleyva! I'm not so sure about this but here goes...Love is seeing the beauty of another person despite all other things...or Love means going beyond the expected...or Love makes things right and noble...and one song says...Love is all that matters, for God is love...finally love is God! There are a lot...so there will be a lot of people responding to this discussion for sure. Happy mylotting! God bless!

I can only conclude that you are a lovable person. Many people refuse to define love. And you came up with what is the most important.

"Love is to be lived not defined"
We can not over simplify a very complex feeling. At best, we can define an aspect of it but never the whole meaning of love. But experiences of it, that we can definitely put into words. Any simple definition puts limitations and presupposes error.
Cheers.

My favorite is from Abrose Bierce.
"Love: a temporary insanity curable by marriage."
Now if you meant "original" as in something that I myself made up, then I will first point out that I don't do the romantic love thing. I was in a relationship a long time ago and that was enough for me to last a lifetime. I consider it a second-rate thing anyway, becoming dependent an another person, or the other person being dependent on you; I don't need that.
No, I prefer to share myself with the whole of humanity, or that is what I am working to do, because I choose to. Seeing the people around me, sensing that we are all part of one community. Something I read a long time ago, about when you look at another person you are looking at yourself.
No, nothing witty comes to mind at the moment. But I do know I always thought that saying, about never having to say you're sorry was a bit off. Rather I think that love means that you would be the first to say you're sorry.

Curable by marriage! Waahhh! I do not know who Ambrose Bierce is but he must be a hopeless romantic. But Qaeyious, I think you had already given a definition of love by your being selfless. I believe that your being a person for others is the wittiest answer one can give. Love comes in a million faces and you saw it. Great!
